think of 20 extra lbs on your body that's not secure (as in, attached inside your skin) and imagine trying to spin on to a rail with it. No. i'm assuming what your "weight belt" is reffering to is a brace much like a weight lifters belt mentioned above that dissipates force over a greater area of your body, while adding support in a direction laterally. a knee brace works the same way. are you guys serious about this 20 pound weight belt thing? jesus, i would give my right nut if it was true someone like jossi wore weights to gain speed. it's all about being aggressive. notice how sammy always has his destination set when he's riding the course. there's no hesitation. he just goes, and he clears the shit out of everything. sure, he's bigger than jossi, but it's about how aggressive you are. i'm a smaller rider myself, and i frequently up the distances of a lot of the bigger guys i ride with. i could be wrong, but i'm 99 percent sure your weight belt theory is just a brace.
