DID I SCREW UP?

Today i was in seattle, and needed new skis. I found the Volkl Dogans and a good pair of Head bindings for like 320$ total. I hadn't done much research (whoops) and am now hearing that these skis suck ass. Do they? Are they any good outside of the park? How do they compare with P.E.s? HELP PLEASE

The Dogen is basically a pure park ski. I don't think you got ripped off, but I really don't know because I have never compared prices with that. You can always dump them on ebay and cut your losses if you decide not to ski them. Volkl is a pretty solid ski company, so I wouldn't worry.

anytime you can get skis AND bindings for around 300 bucks its great

brand new none the less

those are great skis.

They're incredibly soft and the topsheets chip and peel really badly. The demo pairs we have in my shop all look like shit after 2 or 3 rides. But if you're light, they'll probably ski nice in the park.

Thanks for the comments, I guess i'll ski 'em and worst comes to worst, use the warranty. Probably worth the 300 no matter what

no you didnt screw up. i have heard a lot of good things about the dogens. and plus $300 for skis and bindings? that is a really good deal. i hope you enjoy your setup.

you cant listen to what everyone says on this site about how some skis suck ass...cuz besides a few people many haveno clue what they r talking about...the dogen and binders for 300 is a real good deal...if you dont like em take the bindings off and sell the skis then put those binders on a new set...

i was at snowcovers a while ago and one of the techs there said that the dogens are basically the publics... just a bit thinner

thats a really good deal i think, i was going to buy dogens for 400 bucks without bindings, but thats canadian

i have the new 07 dogens cause of warrenty but the 06 (white and red ones) were hell, they chip really easy and the edge came out after 4 days up the mountain the 07s are WAY better!
