i was just looking throug my emails. i saw an email that i wasn't familiar with so i decided to check it out. i open the letter and this is what it says.

You have won the sum of £ 250 000 from the Toyota Online Promotions

held in

London. Contact our agent and provide him with the under listed datas

for

claims.

The selection process was carried out through random selection in our

computerized Email selection system (ESS) from a database of

over250,000

email addresses drawn from all the continents of the world.

it gave a bunch of contact information and stuff but i didn't wanna post it. do you think this is legit.

its probably fake, but what was the e-mail address that sent it to you and what kind of information did they want from you?

I'll tell you if you did if you send me all your credit card numbers!

No really though. If they're asking for a bunch of sensitive stuff then no.

no you probably didnt just win $25000

BUT

what you did just do was flag yourself as an easy target for any scammers here on ns..

don't listen to all these people, you definitely did win the money. All you have to do is give them your credit card number, the 3 digit security code on the back of it, and your social insurance number so they can correctly identify you and make sure no one else is trying to claim your winnings. Congratulations!

wow. i mean good luck.

if you get a bunch of random shit that isnt super credible (i.e. some huge website contest) via email, it aint legit, especially if you "won" or were in some weird ass guy's will, and if it has anything to do with Africa and london/UK. More warnings, like a bunch of weird shit (like no specificity) and also bad punctuation (especially no spaces after periods), means non-legit. Just takes one fool and they get a little. That, or they could go to italy and try to sell a lot of dumb shit to tourists (which they do, too).

dude i got this special program on my computer that if you give me your ss number i can find out if you won or not

are you serious?..... be sure to give them a copy of your school schedule with a list of your greatest fears on the back.

Dude, its fake...they send emails like that all the time and try to get personal information. Do not give them any info..If you REALLY wanna know, then contact Toyota and ask them if they are running a contest like the one you "won". Do not go to a dealer, contact the corp

dut a duh, here we got captain obvious

It would suck if you really did win $250000 but you thought it was spam.

I do think it is spam though. Post the email and blank-out the personal info so we can see if it is legit or not.

despite all the people on here, realistically they would have called you to tell you. Sorry to break it to you but they wouldn't tell you you've won over e-mail.

thats sick if u actually won but i doubt it. some person i know won 10 000$ in a scratch ticket tho

i got a email just like that, only i promised to help enlarge my dick! congrats on the money!
