OK I'm 22, I voted for Kerry because...well that doesn't really need an explanation. But I thought it was always assumed that Kerry would win because Bush is...Bush. But what the fuck is happening, how is this so close??? I just cannnot understand this. Every intelligent person I know understands the dangers of Bush in office, as does the rest of the planet, so why does he have so many supporters here in the US? Why in your right mind would you vote for a man who has 'convictions' that arent RIGHT. everyone has convictions, the drug dealer that lives down my road has convictions about dealing drugs, that doesnt make them right. why would you vote for a man that did not have a real job until he was 40 when he was elected gov of Texas. Why would you vote for a former CEO of a corrupt company. And you pick these 2 men over a former trial lawyer and a senator of 21 years? After what Bush has done to this country?> What the fuck are you talking about 'let him finish his work??' He's done enough already, the US is looked at as a completely different place now than it was 4 years ago. Goddamnit, I hate this. He has made it a joke to be American. when you vote today, show the world us Americans have the common sense to oust a leader that is bad for us. Good god, this is unbelievable.

bush = no separation of church (as he sees it the church)

bush = war monger (in the eyes of many other countries)

cheney = aging corrupt politician (just looks at his connections to Haliburton)

bush/cheney administration = largest decline as a country ever seen during one administration

bush/cheney administration = started a war that UN president Kofi Annan declared illegal (gee, I wonder what the world thinks of us)

But what scares me the most is that the man in charge of the country right now, and possible for the next 4 years (GOD FORBID), speaks to God, and God told him to invade Iraq (yes this was a quote that I saw the other day and I might be able to dig it up again). Where are people that God speaks to? In the church, in the insane asylumns, and in the Oval office.

Bush has never been my president, and hopefully will not have the title of president too much longer.

However, agree with me or not, the most important thing is to get out and vote and make your voice heard.

no, the reason is pretty much what midwest was getting at. every conservative is a freaking moron, who has no idea or concept of what has happened the last 4 years. they dont understand the inherently superior philosophy of liberalism. face it, theres a lot of people who are too busy watching nascar and going to church to REALLY understand the world. that is why you will NEVER, find a republican, conservative, whatever, that knows the first thing about anything. they are all so totally dissillusioned about the world. they love to kill, they love corperate greed, and they hate fags and the environment. this is true almost across the board, and without exception. i dont know any of them who even graduated college. its pretty rediculous when you think about it. that is why it is so close.

i come from an extremely republican area and most of the reason is is that they are 1) very religous 2) gun owners 3) close minded and 4) nationalists...i think this is probably why bush will win again...all the rednecks in america (and God knows there's alot) are gonna vote for this lunatic.

If I am not mistaken christians are supposed to be against any killing of any kind so then really they should be against bush because of iraq and his death penalty position

saying christianity is against killing is like saying hitler was against killing. The church has killed million upon millions of people, almost in league (for time and amount) as hitler. Just look at France and the Crusades. Bush is an example that it's not the man the gets elected, it's his beliefs and what his party wants. Bush is not a good man.

its sad and funny that the bible thumpers who claim 'christians are for Bush' are in fact doing a great diservice to their religion. they are basically saying 'our group of millions cannot think for themselves and therefor have one homogenous opinion on very complex issues'. i know this not to be true, and its characteristic of conservative oversimplifications to make that point
