Did I make the right choice?

I had a thread about choosing between the TM and PE and I went with the 05/06 PE. I ended up buying the 174. I'm 5'8" 150lbs, raced a bit in college, pretty strong skier. I ski east coast and I'm just starting out in the park and pipe stuff because the rest of the hill is boring. This will be an all-purpose ec ski for me. Should I have gone with the 169? The shop guy was telling me that 169 might be good for me.

no, you made the right decision

shops always like people to ride shorter skis. You could have actually gone wit the 179, but since your just starting park, 174 will be a good size.

definitely not 169. If anything 179, but 174 will work fine.

thats pretty much perfect. you could have gone 179 if you wanted, but I'm sure you'll get everything you want out of the 174.
