Did i make a mistake?

Yes, I gave in and ordered some line afterbangs.I know there not the best ski, but i got them brand new for 200$ and figured it'd be worth it because I only ski in PA and we dont really get much pow or anything. Are they really that bad of a ski?

Shouldn't matter. It's the exact same ski with a different topsheet graphic.

I purchased a set of 10/11 afterbangs I plan to shred this year. IMO, they are the closest thing to the OG Invaders I sported last season. Wanted to try something different this year.

The qualm I've heard thus far is the weight and ease of topsheet damage.Regardless, 200 is a STEAL and there are FAR worse skis out there for more expensive then 200.

You made a fine decision. Don't over think it. Just enjoy riding them this season then make a decision.

$200 is a really good deal. theyre pretty good but the topsheets on mine are destroyed, thats about it for damage though

Mine have lasted two years off hard riding with no edge cracks. They are a pretty bomb-proof ski. Top sheet chipping is obviously going to happen.

while this is true some can be "bomb proof" others will not be. They may get water logged they may not. Either way be positive you got a really fun ski for cheap. Ski them hard and abuse them jib everything on the mountain and they will be well worth it.

Edges are not the only thing that goes wrong with a ski. If you ride them "hard" I bet those things have anti pop.

Nah no mistake. It's a great ski for what it is. You jus gotta know it's intended to get the piss beat out of it and then replaced. It sucks outside of the park too. Just an FYI before ya go tryin to rip those down some steep icy headwall....lol...I wouldn't recommend trying that.

are they really that horrible for a couple groomers? i have to go down them to get to the lower park until they open up the main park in january.

it's not like you're going to struggle to get to the park. i mean, they are skis, i'm sure you could put most anything under peoples feet and they'd be fine with them. I'm in NJ and ski PA sometimes and my super dull edged disorderly's do just fine for everything, if you know how to ski properly you'll be fine.

They are terrible skis, they will make you hate skiing and any sport that has to do with snow or independent motion of your legs. You will want to rip your eyes out and hurtle your worthless body off mount doom after bathing in pig urin to insure your soul goes straight to he'll and does not pass GO our collect $200.

Naw dude, they are fine. Skiing is fun regardless of what is clamped onto your boots...

The Invader have the exact same extruded base as the A-bangs and some say a softer flex pattern. Essentially the same ski but lighter and softer.

Those skis have been my absolute most favorite skis to own.

They did groomers and all mountain perfectly fine. They struggles on ice only because they are softer and don't hold an edge as well as a ski meant for charging groomers.

That and pow was a bitch. I still rode it, but it was a struggle. Still tons of fun.

Regardless, I'm not worried about it. I had so much fun "tricking" off of anything and everything I could with those skis. SUCH a blast. I skied about 60% park and 40% all mountain with a few pow days last season.

True, but have you ever ridden my skis? No. They still have plenty of pop and they are fun as fuck to ride still. I love them.
