well heres the deal. me and this girl have been talking for a while, but not going out. i spent all night tonight with her from after school til about 8 or so. well i just called her to say "good night and i love you." is this a bad thing?

well the fact that you even had the desire to phone her, after spending about 5 hours with her, just to say goodnight, and i love you means that you clearly have a relatively high degree of feelings for the girl. Although if you're not going out, and its really the beginning.. it's a touchy word, cause she may not be ready for that. Also, you shouldn't have said it "because you think it makes her feel better"... you should have only said it if thats how you feel.

ah, damn... the initial reaction would have been a good indication. For example, I was seeing a guy for a couple of weeks and on the phone he said 'I love you'... and I just hesitated, then went "...awww......" he said "yeah, thanks..." and i felt horrible.
