Many of you know may know him, since he seems to be of AM status on the Armada team and claims to be sponsored by Dalbello, but if you are his friend, please refrain from any comments since you are completely partial.

So here is the deal. About two months ago Will Brown make a 'for sale' thread for some 09/10 Dalbello Il Moro boots. I had not checked the recent pictures of next year's models, but figured since he was claiming to be sponsored, he would know what next year's boots looked like. I contacted him, negotiated a price, and sent him a check. He did not provide pictures, but again, as a sponsored and well-known rider I assumed he was selling what he claimed and wouldn't want to ruin his reputation. Anyway, after about three weeks I received the boots, which are in fact, this year's, 08-09 gold bling model of the Il Moro, which I happen to not like at all (gold really isn't my thing). They have the gold chain on them and everything. You will note in the following descriptions and conversations that he describes them as all green. So right off the bat, you have him either lying or completely mistaken about both the model year and the color. I asked for a refund and to send them back to him which would seem quite reasonable considering he entirely mispresented it and since if I knew what he was actually selling I wouldn't have even looked twice at it. He is claiming that he will not issue a refund and that he is in no way at fault. I am in disbelief about this and am going to be really upset if he doesn't issue a refund, which he is refusing to do at this point, but there is a chance I am seeing this from some skewed perspective. So, tell me what you think. Below is a link to his original thread, then our message history after I received the incorrect boots, then his latest e-mail response. He goes back and forth saying he never said anything about them being 2010 model, then claiming they in fact were those. He then says in his thread he said there were no refunds, which he never did. Basically he lies about 5-6 times. Read for yourself and if you think appropriate help me get my money back.

unless im blind or someone changed them in the mail, i believe those are gold/green. and i did not claim 2010. i claimed this years. sorry man. maybe we should have a done picture exchange or something if i had had a camera. boots are boots though, the only difference would be the color between the years so you'll have a good time either way.

First you claimed in your thread they were next year's boots. Then you said, no I never claimed they were next year's, now again you are saying yeah, they come in different colors, they are next years. But if I post a picture of them, especially compared to this year's "gold bling" then EVERYONE will see they are this year's boot. I am not trying to be difficult, I just want my money back since you made a mistake and I would never have purchased them had I known they were the '09 gold bling colorway. Please don't force me to make a big deal about this.

I'm sorry this is happening. Definitely a misunderstanding and I made it clear in my post that there are no refunds. You made the purchase without any pictures or anything and I made no false claims. At the moment, I have no money, I will work on getting the amount of money for you but to tell you the truth, we made a deal together and a purchase was made. I will try and make that amount of money back.

Willis - your post said nothing about refunds at all. second, you did make a false claim. You claimed they were the 2009-2010 model. They are the 2008-2009 model. That is clearly misleading. I didn't see the need for pictures since you seemed quite well known on the site and are not some 13-year-old-wannabe but in fact a semi-professional skier. Please keep me updated. You should have the money back to me within a week or so. Thanks

Now, three weeks later I e-mailed him telling him my last resort was to make a thread on NS, which obviously I am doing, and contacting his parents, since he seems to not be responding in a mature way and hopefully they will be nice enough to refund me.

I must say that I truely do not know what all of this is about, or why you think threatening me is OK. We made a legit deal, I asked if you would like pictures, you said that they were unnecessary, and we made the exchange. Threatening me with my parents, first of all, is outrageous and you may absolutely call them if you feel the need, and threatening me with a post on NS will also not change what has happened. You are attempting to back out of a deal in which every detail was made clear, and I'm sorry but you said photos would be unnecessary. On my end of the deal, everything was as I sad it was and I'm truly sorry if you feel differently.

Not to hate on you, because I know you've done tons of business on this site, but you always need to see visual proof of what you're getting. You just can't take peoples word for shit these days.

That sucks man, we shouldn't judge, and as for me, i would either keep the boots or sell them. I'm sure there is some one who needs new boots, and the color doesn't change the way they ride. I can see you are upset because it's not the color you wanted, but YOU should have asked for pictures
 
Oh no, he should definitely get his money back.
But Will Brown told him via PM there were no refunds. (Dick move. Seems like he KNEW that his was screwing people over.)Also, if he's willing to lie in a sale thread misleading people about what he is selling, then I doubt he's willing to give someone his money back.
Original poster, I feel for you man. I've bought things on here and gotten them in far different condition than described or pictured.
 
deffinatly not, he clearly stated that they were the 2010 model, then changed his mind and said 09 model, and said the color ways change alot. definatly deseption, you should definatly get your money back, after all its not what you bought,
 
from the original thread title its pretty clear that he was selling green 2010 boots. if thats not what you received then you are should be refunded. unfortunately in bst there is no way of enforcing any rules like that so you are probably outta luck. hope he does the right thing and gives you your money back
 
i read the first part but didn't take the time to read the messages and thread and what not. But it sounds like he's a cunt and should pay you back. If he doesn't send an email to armada and dalbello explaining the situation and a link to this thread. You could black mail him till he gives in or do it anyways without telling him and let karma do the work.

I sent him 20 cash in the mail about 4 years ago when he was knitting beanies. He called me and everything, talking about different colors and whatnot. PM'ed me and told me it would take a while due to being out of the colors I wanted. Never rec'd anything, tried contacting him with no success.

it sounds like his sale was grossly misrepresentative. you should get your money back, but i'm sure that he's long since spent it and it will take him a long time to earn the refund money, if at all. the very thing that makes this a great place to buy and sell without extra fees is the same thing that makes it possible for people to fuck others in such a manner. nothing can be free without being taken advantage of.

Will Brown scammed you. Its absolute bull-shit, and I don't know what you can do about except to smear his name and make sure he never gets sponsored. Karma is a bitch.
 
which im sure everyone here would be able to tell the diff between them and next years. really sucks tho
 
yeah dude, industry people will see this. and since they are trying to get NS members to buy their stuff, they won't want to sponsor an athlete that screws people over. that sucks man
 
You would contact someone who is >18 and lives on his own (i presume) parents? Jesus christ man regardless of whether or not you got screwed (I do believe he is at fault) grow up. Telling peoples parents is what I did in elementary school.
 
Clearly I don't want to since it has been almost a month since I received the boots. But if that helps me get the money back, then yes I would. Also, he had me send the check to his parents house and process it for him. So, I think they should know how he is uses their services.

You were scammed. So what if there wasn't pictures. He described them as green and the 09/10 model and sent you something different. You should get your money back.

This dude seems like a fucking piece of shit, he is obviously trying to pull a fast one on you. Claims they're 09/10's, then goes back on it, then claims they are 09/10's in the 08/09 colorway?

Cut me a fucking break. He describes them in his thread as "green" not "gold." Ban this motherfucker. $300 is a lot of money. If I ever get the chance to meet Mr. Brown you can guarantee I'll be introducing myself with my fist.
 
Thats really embarrasing for a sponsored athlete to do something like this. selling last years boots for $300 and then writing you off. Somebody has some answering to do. I hope you get your money back or can resell them.

that being said, i think he is more at fault that you and you should definitely get a full refund, especially because you're one of the most legit people on here and you're telling it like it is whereas he's trying to work around it and blame it on you, i just think pictures would've helped sort everything out before it happened
 
before passing judgement i think we all need to see the original post where these claims are made, if he did say that they were 09/10 boots then he is at fault.
 
this kid may have done you dirty Trip, but you left the door open for it to happen by not getting pics. and even when you get pics you, me, or anyone else is taking a chance by buying stuff from strangers over the internet. hope this works out for you

Trusting someone shouldn't be punished. What was advertised in the thread is not what he got, and that's wrong.

TS is the most legit buyer/seller on this site. Whoever this person is, they are headed down the tubes.

Sorry to hear that man. By definition this is fraud and you could sue him. I know that would cost too much money to do but what Im trying to say is, what he did is illegal and that means it is not only fair for you to get your money back, but it is ridiculous that he wont refund your money.
