Dew tour

sorry, i'm all over the place

anyways they built a hell of a course. but my beef lies with they gestapo patroling the pipe during the finals. i was shooting pictures on the right wall during snowboard pipe finals (unfortunatly the only event i could make it down from central VT for) with my digital rebel and 75-300mm lens, when this forigne chick comes up to me and starts yelling at me because my camera is too big and sophisticated any i am screwing up everyone just trying to have fun (if you know anything about cameras this is one of the smallest DSLRs ever produces, also one of the cheapest and entry level) so after i tell her all of this and that i was shooting for no one and repeated over and over "respectfully lady, i don't think you have any idea what your talking about" but my self she keeps badgering me to put it away when i tell her what if i change lenses and she just about leapt for joy so i took off the shroud at the end of the lense and then she goes on saying again again how everyone is just trying to have fun, thanking me for putting away my "professional equiptment" and reminding me that she didn't have to call security on me

maybe next time mount snow will teach their sub par staff about the wildly rediculous rules they have before making them enforce something they have no idea about?

anybody remember the anti-gravity grails?

I completely agree. I was trying to get over to the pipe tower, just crossing the general flow of traffic twaords the quad. and i was stopped by an ambassador saying i couldn't go. I was like, no sir, respectfully, im going over there as I have my pass and my boss is standing right there. He was like you cant do that, and tried to stop me again. I decided to just walk over there and blow him off.

I feel as though they hired lots of new workers just for the tour, and they had no idea what they were talking bout

I agree with you that it's fucking ridiculous but you should have just gotten a press pass. Free and easy as hell to get.

Strange. I'm not denying that people may or may not have had some problems but I thought the Dew Tour at Mount Snow was one of the most well organized and run events I've ever been too. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Sorry to hear you had so much trouble.

that sucks. last year me and my friend were filming stuff at smuggs and the t bar guy told us that we wernt aloud to film stuff because we might give other mountains smuggss ideas haha. smuggs stuff is usually ultra sketchy.

yeah i mean like i said it wasn't that bad, i was only there for one event but hearing that they gave other people shit about it too is not suprising. i will agree that it was a great contestoverall, they built a course that i felt would bring anyone back for a second year for sure. but give me a break you can't just have your staff running around yelling at people for things they don't even know anything about what they are talking about.

big ups for everyone ensuring i'm not a lunatic, and above all big ups to riley and his fam.
