Dew Tour was so good for the sport!

I thought Dew Tour showcased our sport to the masses in the best possible light. I really had my doubts about how well such a big commercially co-opted contest series would portray skiing, but after watching the other stops on TV and then getting to check out the Northstar event live, I'm super pumped on how it all turned out, including the judging.
The three different slope courses each favored different styles of skiing: Breck's big jumps put Bobby Brown's dub flips on top, while the Vermont course was creative with the cannon box and stuff, and ended up rewarding Houle's tech and creativity. Finally, the Northstar course was a bit smaller and the judges rewarded style this time around with Wallisch taking his first big contest. Pipe was dope too. We (and the public) saw everything from Riddle's and Tanner's dope style to Simon's big air spinning and Dorey's crazy doubles.
Overall I thought the judges properly rewarded the right skiers whose particular strengths suited the different styles of courses at each stop, and in the process the public got to see all the different facets of park skiing today, from balls out to creativity to style.
And the money is getting huge! Dope event overall!

The commercial for the Dew Tour on TV showed Shawn White, followed by a mogul skier doing a backflip iron cross...

agreed, i sat down to watch it, and everyone in the house was watching it by the end of the 1.5 hour comp. the commentating was also on point, i'd shout out, sick switch misty10, and they would repeat it. judging was pretty on point also.

now 3 of my friends have told me about how awesome that one skier, what's his name, simon dumont is. that double front flip was the coolest thing i have ever seen.

oo ya i saw that, but even though it was random backflips are cool for the mainstream soo it does still do good for the sport

I was sitting on the side of slope and pipe finals and i thought it was great for our sport.

It showed all those people who didnt know about freeskiing how it all works.

I stayed with a old time racer and he thought it was amazing and now he is really interested in freeskiing.

yeah man, totally agree

they should get Luke to do the xgames. would be so much more entertaining
