Dew Tour Judging.

Dew Tour judging today for slope was pretty wacky. The first heat of prelims one of the highest scores that was given was around a 74. Matt Walker had some illin runs and people with slight falls beat him out. I just thought the scores for the day were just going to be low. Then heat two comes around and people are scoring high eighties. Martini slayed but was given a suprisingly high scorefor his run, then finals slayed way harder and was given much lower. Which bumped a ton of people from the first heat out. However it got worse when finals rolled around. Again it started with super low scores for stompped runs. Then as more people came down the scores slowly got higher. Jon slayed his run, rails were a tad sketchy, but a nice sw 10 to sw double 9, which placed him way lower than he should have. Bobby Brown stomped his run, rodeo of the cannon, sw misty 9, kang flip, and thought he would have easily been top three but was placed in 8th or something. PK had a pretty sick first run that scored an 80, then did a similar second run that wasn't as stomped but somehow scored 8 points higher. Things were just pretty wack all day, and a lot of riders were talking about it and agreed. I wouldn't be suprised to see something from Jon on his blog later. Also I heard at the riders meeting Sammy called Jon out on all his stuff he's been saying on his blog and what not.

Jah bless. One love.

Who is judging this shit, let me tell you who should be. JF, E Raps, Boyd E, Dave Chrighton, The phils, and chuck norris. No other line of judges would ever top it.

judging always sucks it's the same thing for EVERY judged sport.

You cant judge skiings just like you cant judge art.

Cedric, I can judge art. Does that mean they should get me to judge Dew Tour?

you can have personal opinion about arts. that's the whole thing about it, it'as all about preference and what you think is beautifull.

They judging was incredibly inconsistent. Bobby Browns run was much better than a 73. and the way scores jumped in the first round was absurd.

No, that's not actually true. There is such a thing as "bad art". Or "not art at all", conceivably, though that's surprisingly hard to pin down. All of this is within the purview of aesthetic philosophy. There's an answer to every question, this "eye of the beholder" nonsense is just a cop-out.

lol one of the announcers said jon olsson named it the kangaroo flip because he was from australia...correct me if im wrong but Are is his home town

I thought the judging at Mt. Snow was way worse than Breck. Props to Sammy for saying the judging was whack when they interviewed him. PK's runs should not have gotten him in the top 4 let alone 2nd. If your bread and butter is a dub cork 10, you should throw it. JF should have won because he killed it on his second run, but his first run got a ridiculous score. Godbout had a solid run, but I thought there were better runs. I thought Bobby got robbed on both scores. He had a money first run except for the wash out on his kangaroo, but somehow he gets a 36 or something in the 30's. And Bobby's last run should have gotten him on the podium instead of a 7th. All of his tricks were very smooth even with the small bobble on his kangaroo. And Martini got robbed with a 76 on his first run all of his tricks were very smooth.
I thought the results should have been 1. JF2. Bobby3. Sammy4. Godbout5. PK
Hopefully Pipe will be better because this was very hard to watch and say it was properly judged.

i havent been able to see every run but i was kind of disappointed that alexis godbout got 3rd.. wasnt too impressed by his performance to be honest

pk's run not deserving podium... you better be kidding me, smoothest run I've seen in a long time let alone the tfact that he stomped verything like the crazy norwegian rider he is.
