Dew Tour Judging (slopestyle)

Dew tour slope style judging was wack. No offense to Bobby he kills it but the judges are primarily focusing on jumps. Notice how when sammy fell on the rail section his first run and still hit the jumps he got a 50, but when he stomped the rail section clean and then fell on the jumps he got a 20. I think it should be some sort of 50/50 score like oh he gets a 48/50 on the rail section and a 45/50 on the jumps he gets a 93. Henrik should have won imo. He had a nasty second run, both the rail section and the jump section, i dont think the judges understood how challenging the bio 10 was and how much style he put in to the rail section. its just something to think about, like maybe adding a rail jam where the riders who really want to express themselves and their style on rails can do so.
No hate intended to anybody but the Dew Tour and XGames and other pro competitions should seriously consider adding rail jams

here we go again.

and rail jams dont provide the high flying shit that the public will tune in to see. rail jam thrill level for the average viewer is nowhere near the excitement produced by watching a dub misty 14 at a night big air. it just wouldnt make money.

no i love jumps too i just think that rail games arent being as treated as well as they should at the pro competition level

you don't really have to know how to ski to win a slopestyle comp either though...

But, I agree style and rails should be judged a bigger part of judging BUT, Henrik has no right to complain about his score IMO. He had a sick run, one of the sickest of the day BUT, he didn't do what the judges wanted to see. It's like having a job and going for a promotion, your boss has a bunch of people who could all get it, you know what he wants you to do, but instead of doing what he wants you do something he doesn't want but you to do better than everyone who did what he wanted. Even though it may get you notice and you may deserve it the most, you still aren't getting the promotion. Life is all about knowing what people want and delivering it.

you have to be able to ski at a decent level to hit a 70ft booter and a handrail. you just can go in there a willy nilly like not knowing how to ski and hit that stuff. If the competitors wanted to be judged on their ability of downhill skiing they would go to racing or some shit. Alot of these pros did alot of down hill before freestyle so they have a good skiing ability

actually im pretty sure there were more people watching rails 2 riches at killington than the dew tour slopestyle at killington

dude i think rails to riches is sick as fuck. i would probably rather watch r2r than dew. the problem is, most people cant tell the difference between a 2 pretzel 4 and a k-fed.
