who is that kid and how old is he? its awesome that some kid from indiana can come in there and beat everyone.

He's like 18? I remember when he won the Ohio Jib Academy in 2007 and we were getting "coached" by Sammy C and Olenick, and now he is placing higher than them. Good stuff.

Actually, he is 16 and he fucking slays. Here is an edit from a few weeks ago of him in Keystone:

Here is his North Face Open 3rd place slope run:

Holy Shit 16 year old and placing 3rd in Dew Tour up their with all the pros. He has a bright future hope to see more from him.

apparently Bobby stole it with 3 dubs, his run was the last one, with him not being on the podium at the time.

Oh, and Andreas fell and hurt his shoulder during his first run. It sucks when people get injured just a few days before the X Games start :(

Honestly not surprising how good Nick is, being in windells academy and being able to train on the best facilities on snow and off all year round is gonna make you fucking sick.

Both Goepper and Chris Laker both come out of Perfect North Slopes. Goepper is 16 and Laker is 17, and Laker ended up just missing qualifying for finals coming in 11th. They both have real bright futures for sure.

i remember competing against Goepper in the midwest open 3 years ago. hard to believe that i competed against someone who podiumed in the dew tour.

"Fourth place Alex Schlopy had an interesting day. Being yesterday's bubble boy, he was the first athlete to drop in today. Unfortunately, the camera men weren't ready, missing half of his run, thus disallowing the judges to see his run, rending it void. A cleanly landed run that didn't count, Schlopy was hurried back to the top to take a re-run, which he crashed on. Completely unfair, the camera man should give money out of his or her own wallet to give to Schlopy in some sort of reparations. Fortunately, Schlopy's 2nd run, which included a left 900, switch double wobble 1260 to double cork 1260, landed him in fourth, just off the podium."
this got me pissed. from the freeskier article btw

this,

Honestly Goepper had a great run, but i really think Schlopy's unscored run would have got him 3rd place. It was really unfair for him. I'm glad Alex still put down a solid run, but the bronze would have been his if the camera's didn't mess up.

Also, Henrik didn't get the recognition he deserved with his 6th place score. Not sure if it would have mattered much, but I think his second run was better than the low 80s he got. Disaster tail press on to the dfd was unreal. And his last dub 9 was cleanest of the day.

Same here. I can't believe he's 16 and comes out of nowhere to podium in the dew tour. What was his run?

I am on the volkl team with him and he is probably the most humble and well spoken kid i have met. He went to The Windells Academy this year and i saw and heard about how much he progressed. Congrats
