Detuning

Iwas wondering what the best way to detune my skis is. I just want to detune me tip and tails because they alway catch on jumps.

I wouldn't suggest detuning them. Some people detune underfoot but I don't even do that. Normal wear and tear from just skiing will detune it but you don't want to detune your tip and tail

well u really don't detune ur tips and tails its not a good idea, after shapening your edges take a diamond or a stone file to the tip and tails, but lightly u don't need to do it too much. that should do it

if i were ud, id get used to the extra edging on jumps, its better that being able to slid off a jump sideways

i used a double-sided polishing stone. i did the rough work with the rough side then polished it off with the fine side.
