Ok so i'm up at college with a brand new pair of AR6's. I'm going to a rail jam tomorrow and although this isnt my ideal way to break them in, i really wanna ski. I'm pretty sure the setup is a box. But should i detune my edges or will i be ok? I know nothing about this. Help is appreciated.

detuning would be help...just to be safe take a file to the edges just under the feet (unless you're going to be nose/tail pressing the box or setup).

scrape until the edges are rounded

if they arent sharpened then they will be fine. you wont catch an edge on a box anyway, at least i never have. you dont want to round your edges because then they are gonna suck everywhere when you get on real snow. if your a re worried just file the edge underfoot down a little bit. but i would not listen to ^him

yeah, if you're going to use them anywhere other than park then don't do what i said.

thanks for the catch +k

do it anyway if you ski park regularly, even if you did or did not for the jam. use a gummy stone or even a file and just really lightly round underfoot. dont round up further thinking youll catch on a nosepress cause your weight will be a little back on any press anyway so it shouldnt be a problem and you dont want to lose your skis edge in the contact zone for all around skiing... afterall once its gone it never comes back. it doesnt tak emuhc, jsut a light few swipes on each foot from binding to binding
