They like change the clocks every 5 minutes to disorient them, fuck up they're sleeping patterns, blind fold them and shit, all heavy psychological torture. Plus they're being held without a trial and all that bullshit which violates UN charter to which the US is obliged to follow.

Honestly, I can't in my right mind disagree with what is going on at Guantanomo Bay in reference to the detainment conditions. As far as I'm concerned, if you are a known terrorist, there is absolutely no reason you should be a living part of society. There's no need to kill you to inflict pain or anything, but purely to eliminate you from society, because you are only hindering it. I live in New York and went to more than my share of funerals due to September 11th. I don't want any sympathy or, 'that sucks dude', I just want people to know that my opinions stem from what I saw that day and the days after. People argue that that is exactly what we are doing in Iraq, but don't be fooled. When non-combatants are taken advantage of and slaughtered, thats just inhumane. Iraqi citzens knew what was going to happen, hell, big 'W' even threatened Saddam with an ultimatum. If someone is plotting to be or is responsible for any terrorist act, as far as I'm concerned, torture them for all their worth, as they tortured countless others...

 
torturing terrorists or killing them just makes you as bad as they are. they are still human beings, they dont deserve to be tortured. i mean someone has to 'be the bigger person' as corny as that sounds, its true...not one human being should have the right to torture another and not get away with it. terrorists should be punished, there is no question about that, i just think they should be punished fairly.

i wouldnt call myself a human rights person per say....but this thread wasnt about the soliders over there, that why i did not say anything about them. of course the situation goes both ways, the soliders over there shouldnt be tortured either.

i agree with you, they probably would not give us a trial, but we live in a completely different society than they do, and to just do what they would do to us....i dont think that is an excuse at all, i dont think that helps our society at all when we start doing that, it would just rip us apart as a society.
