Damn. Was the deck rail from Forward slid by Downey from that lodge or was it another resort?

that sucks since Killington is much more legit, but this is what my home 'mountain' has looked like since June

^not very mountainous, I know

yea its not very high at all but I actually get to hit more rails per visit than I did when I skied at Mountain Creek in NJ, thats about the only good thing tho. and I've never skied a real mountain so maybe ignorance is bliss

They've been trickling in from the local news outlets. The entire town of Killington is cut-off and isolated from the rest of the state. All roads in and out are destroyed. Power is largely limited and will take a long time to restore.

Expect more updates as time goes on.

Additionally, the base lodge at Killington does not appear to be a total loss. Latest word from K is that just the one part is damaged. There are two seperate foundations, and only the one part was damaged severely.

Road repairs are going to take some time though.

Anyone familiar with going to Killington by way of passing through Rutland may recognize this area...

That is Route 4 just after Sugar & Spice as the road widens to three lanes and the speed limit changes to 50mph.

Route 4/Route 100 in the other direction through the flats of Killington not far from Skyeship base lodge.

It will be.

It has to be cleaned up immediately to restore east/west flow within the state. Route 7 south of Rutland is out of commission as well. A four-lane bridge got wiped out.

Holy shit. The farm stand that I work at was under 8 feet of water today, well the main farm stand, I work at one 10 minutes away that just lost a few peach trees. This storm really made things go smash.

holy fuck!!

thats gotta blow having that shit happen. hopefully repairing that doesnt take a toll on the snowmaking or park budget!!

vibes to VT

damn dude, i didnt know the Missouri flooded that far into weston. hope it doesnt do any damage to the "hill" lol so it will be shredable by december.

Wow! that is unreal. Hope that All of those in Killington can put the pieces back together in short(ish) order. My friend's family has a house about 20 minutes up the road from the skyship lifts in Woodstock, VT. And Sugar and Spice has the greatest breakfast EVER! hope the building was not damaged as bad as the road looks to be?

This is going to be a lot of clean up at Killington and the surround area

make ya wonder, if they got the 12 of rain inches they were initally calling for instead of 6 -7....... the world really could end.

]: I hope they can still open as early as they did last year... And they're rebuilding the lodge so hopefully that will get up quickly too... Pretty crazy that so much more damage happened there, and it's only an hour away from me...

what the fuck. is there something wrong with any of the other mountains? like mount snow or stratton?
