Destruction at Killington, VT

i havent heard anything about mount snow but my friend who goes to Stratton mountain school said they didnt get hit too bad, there isnt flooding or anything like that.
okemo got hit just as hard as killington but because the base is higher up it didnt get hit but ludlow is a complete mess. practically the town is under waist deep water

New Flash Flood Warnings hoisted in Rutland County, including Killington, Pittsfield and Mendon.

A slow moving rain with heavy rainfall is located over Killington Peak right now. Streams are still running high, and the ground is still entirely saturated. Any rainfall will certainly become runoff.

Really hoping this doesn't cause anymore damage, or undo the progress that has been made on the roads in the area.

Hi All,

Thanks for your concerns. We did not in fact loose a lodge here at

Killington. We did loose the Superstar Pub which was an addition to the

K-1 Lodge. It was a room that maybe got used a total of 12 Saturdays

out of the whole year. Honestly, not a large loss at all.

BUT, the best

news is that we are on track to open on schedule for the 2011/12

season!!!

So dust off those skis and boots, we'll be opening just as soon as we can make snow!!

beers were overpriced at that pub anyway

but for real i hope they can rebuild, both upper and bottom lodges, to be better
