first project of the second semester. simple but hard to start when thinking about how long it is going to take. just wanting some feed back about it and if there is anything i should try before i pass it in (not due until next week)

basics of the assignment:

1) Take a 24x36 sheet of paper and paint lines and splash ink on it

2) Take a 2x2 square out of that, grid it, and stretch it to 5x5 on illustration board

3) Recreate the image with just dots

 
thats pretty impressive, i could never do that. But the time lapse could have been sped up faster, would have been cooler to watch the drawing come together really quickly. But good job!
 
thanks, and yeah... the beginning took forever to do because it needed to be a lot darker, and it doesnt seem like the software sped it up as much as the ending
 
Pointillism but without color, sort of??? That's really cool, I would have chosen a higher angle so you could see the drawing better but good nonetheless.
 
small tripod.. and the original "paintings" that made was black ink so we could do it in black ink when we recreated it.

ive done a lot more to the values now, but the video shows the general idea. i kinda want to do more time lapses now though, which will get better with angles and stuff.
