Design my basement

So I'm remodeling my basement and running on a $500 budget. Its pretty much a shithole right now but I bought a decent tv and speaker system for once its done. Any ski related ideas for it would be pretty rad. Extra points if the idea is uber-chyll. I will probably do whatever gets the most upvotes as long as its not totally retarded and post pics of it in the next few weeks.

Get a good layout spend all the money on materials. Do all the work yourself.

$500 won't go very far but depending on how bad of shape it's currently in you can give it a decent boost.

You could do a "theater-ish" layout with the big tv and couches and such on one side of the basement and on the other side like a ping pong/beer pong table with a bunch of posters hung all around

Buy the Level 1 poster pack. You get almost every movie poster and some other randoms for only 20 bucks. I hung those up all over my basement to give it a ski vibe. Also big die cut stickers are cool

Find old skis and build a wall of skis as decoration like fence.

also, get a really comfortable couch.

I'd make it like a work/tuning room with some chairs, fridge, microwave, bench, tv and a sofa.

Like abortionator said, $500 will get you a solid start. I'd also see how you're concrete is doing? Big cracks? Wet spots? Leaking anywhere? Take care of that structural stuff first. It'll be a bear and a bummer to have to take apart what you do to fix something like that.

well, for starters, is your basement finished with carpet, dry wall, etc or is it like straight concrete, storage space type area?

You could hang some skateboards and skis on your wall. I got the level 1 deck and put it in my basement and it looks sick.
