mik d is stylish and creative. one of the most stylish guys out there! i dont care about his image. i mean, its cool if its what hes into. tanner thinks hes a rastafari. thats no crazier than thinking you're a gangster rapper. and whatever. maybe he really does have a gun. maybe he even shoots it at times. all i care about what he does on skis. and thats pure, natural, style.
 
to this day no one has won the Us open big air 2 years in a row, no one. till then people can just claim. one year i saw him do a cab 5 with poles in one hand, glass bottle of OJ in the other, cig in the mouth, jacket unzipped and a back pack slung over one shoulder, still was one of the steeziest 5's eva.
an think we are talking abut his style, which is undefinable, almost timeless, you cant just wake up with his style. it is much more of a conceptual debate rather than who won what.
 
if he has a femur fracture he could be out a lot longer than anyone thinks - it depends on the severity, though.

Benchetler cracked his femur five years ago this spring, but he was back skiing the next winter.

I shattered my femur 3.5 years ago, and I haven't skied or run since, and the injury required three surgeries.

Julian Carr shattered his femur pretty badly, but he got back after it in due time and is crazier than ever.

Skogen shattered his femur 7.5 years ago, and had a bitch of a time coming back, too.

so who knows ... i hope Deeznuts is ok.
 
you havent skied in 3.5 years and u still come post on the site props to that and support for this newschoolers shit. if i had stopped skiing for more than a year i doubt i would ever come on here.
 
Wow, you live in a tiny, tiny ski world bubble if you think Mik D is among the top 25 people to change the ski world in the past decade.  He's probably influenced kids more how to dress than anything else, and I'm not so sure that's changing the ski world.  He had skills, no doubt.  And he's essentially wasted them.

Mik is coming back hard, is the only skier on like 4 or 5 different

major euro companies and is filming with 3 different companys this

year. now... if getting wasted, high and not skiing much is a crime mik

is guilty. but it essentially makes him more of a legend in the eyes of

people really in the know.. mik won the us open on Borrowed skis, high

as fuck after drinking for a long time., then no practise he throws

down the best cab 10s still to this day.. All these other kids train

there fukin asses of to have amazing style.. mik dont need to try he

just is.. hes come back this year and is still top 10 out there. and

still has more style than all the kids out there yet... hes spent 3 to

4 years blazin. partying and rapping as well as skiing for Himself...

True style isnt learning how to do tricks a certain way. true style

should flow from within..

Like Laurent, Pollard, Garret Russel,Candide ,LOLO Fauvre , Andy,Pep, all have there own unique style

they dont try they just are... and when you learn that youll learn the

difference between being able to do all the tricks in the book and win

a comp.. and truly being a next level amazing timeless skier..
 
Damn this is the first ive heard about Mik D since like....Royalty.

Did he do much filming before this accident?

I hope to see some steezy parts from him in the upcoming vids
 
pretty sure he didnt invent steeze, but thats just me. Anyway, i hate how everyone gets pissed off and starts defending someone that hasnt been in the game in forever. Yea, he was super styly back a few years, but look what he has been doing since. He's been rapping, and going to prison cuz he shot a guy in the face with a BB gun. if thats ghetto, then i dont know what is, and as far as baggy clothes, no one really invented it, it just sorta happened.
 

glad there is someone like mick in the skiing scene atleast he says what he thinks and not like many other talks bullshit behind others backs !! I assume 90 % of you kids dont even really know him plus if you 'd actually stand infront of him you'd all suck up and ask him to sign your shaved chest no ? and whoever he said he has no steeze ? are you blind ?

Mickael was one of the first skiers with "modern" style. That style MADE this sport... Too bad people don't see that style is what matters anymore. I'd rather see Mik do stylish 5s then dub-flips and 1440s... It looks like this sport is loosing itself. Soon we're arial-jumpers riding backwards and that's it... So the Olympics don't need freeskiiers... And we don't really need them.
 
Goddamn right. I can't believe people hate on Mickael. Can't you see beyond someone's way of talking, dressing or acting to see them as a skier. Mickael fucking slays. Switch cork 10 true tail. Yeah. Shut the fuck up haters.
 
honestly man, go ask Sammy what he thinks about Mik D. I guarantee it 110% he tells you that Mik is a legend that nobody can knock. And I wouldn't be surprised if he told you no one can touch Mik's style either.

He still has insanely sick style in the air, and watching that vid from last year proves that. I think he needs a little practice on rails to keep up with guys like wallisch, ahmet, and hornbeck who are at the front of the pack, not just in terms of spinning on rails but his style lacks a little compared with those guys.... overall i hope he recovers from his injury and comes back and gets in a good amount of time on the snow, and blows everyone away
