yep mick got injured at a swiss contest last saturday, i guess we won't see him at euro open...

he cracked his femur, probably will be out for a good month .

too bad for him i wanted to see him compet there, i was going to go there for a week
 
maybe he cracked his fibula instead of his femur? that would keep you out for about a month.
 
yeah a femur is damn bad! I don't know exaclty how long, but more than a month for sure! And he will have to go slowly when he comes back
 
I hear femurs are the most painfull bone to break. Ski patrol brought this one dude into the mountain hospital who had just broken his, he was screaming for his life.
 
Yeah the femur is the longest bone in the body, and one of the strongest too. It takes a lot of weight to crack that thing, so he must have hit it hard.
 
yo that sucks for him and i hope he recovers cuz injury is one of the gayest things, but honestly I don't know why kdis are so pumped on him. He doesn't spin over five and his shit aint even that steezy in my opinion. YA he stomped a fuckin switch ten five fukin years ago, but then he got hella drunk and washed up and now he aint got shit on half the kids out there today. If he didn't try soooo hard to be hella fukin gangster then I wouldn't care, but that fool thinks hes harder than he ever will be
 
obviously you haven't seen any of his recent edits floating around the intrawebz or have no appreciation for making a trick look steezy

Of course I appreciate steeze, and I saw an interview of some of his recent shit and I actually saw him ski for real last season, so I know how well he skis. all Im sayin is kids like sammy have more steeze in one finger that deschenaux does, and sammy can do every trick in the book. To be a legit skier you have to able to throw down a wide variety of tricks, not just a five grabbed 8 different ways.

i was riding a contest two weeks ago where he was in too, he did one of the steeziest 900° tail and rodeo i've ever seen!

too bad he's injured know, im sure he would have put together a killer segment!
 
in some cases, a person might be. you can die from that shit if the bone tears through the femoral artery. you'll just bleed out right here.

if it wasnt for Mik we would not even mention style, the last interview thread turned into a 'style' debate, no one can mention Mik on this site without the word style. comeback or not he is who he is, he is a part of skiing whether you like him or not.

That Being said I did lose alot of respect for the guy in that interview he did not to long ago, like I'd give him a chance if I met him in real life but he came off as a major deushe. And I agree with the "hater's" people should keep his cock out from in and around there mouths, as until someone shows otherwise, not only do most pros show him up so do a lot of high end ams . And yes before someone says it I know he's better then me I'm just saying that he's just not that good anymore.

i think pollard style is the major influence for skiing right now, he was doing stylish tricks with monkey style, zero spin, cork, all grabs, maybe in 1999 or 2000 when mickael was wearing dreadlocks and kill the park with true tail rotations (candide??) and misty 5 mute

always like mickael style but you can't say he define everything for style in skiing right now, only with 3 parts and maybe 20 tricks in some videos

THats b/c if you have a compound break the muscles in your thigh constrict down (like letting off a stretched rubber band). So think of all the compression on muscle/artery/nerve.. plus the sharp broken end can just dice whatever it comes in contact with (same tissues as above).

So to stabilize that situation you have to put their leg in traction. Pretty much like a winch on their ankle to pull their leg down and back to the correct length. SO the screams of bloody murder will subside as soon as the bone is pulled back into place.
 
well as of like noon today his time, he is going to be at LAAX tomorrow maybe he is just going to watch i dunno but i dunno about traveling to much after cracking your femur.
