That was horrific. He is lucky to be alive. As an EMT I have seen people take lesser of a hit and die. Saw him at the first US Open when he was 14. Outstanding! My concern is that when jumps are made, especially this big of a gap, is there any engineering going on? Calculation of speed needed, angle of trajectory, distance needed on the down ramp for safe landing. Or people just building shit to see if it will work? Just wondering.
