Derek Jeter Appreciation

So just because he didn't acknowledge one kid that makes him a "dick"? What a joke dude, do you understand how much time and money he has put into Turn 2 Foundation? And how much nice stuff he does for kids at basically every single game... Go look up Derek Jeter Make a Wish Foundation or anything. keep hating...

Butthurt much? Ya, he was a dick to me. That was my personal experience with him. My personal experience with him, was him being a dick. Do you have a personal experience with him?

Yeah, I am butt-hurt... He's the guy I looked up to for as long as I can remember, I played the same style baseball as he did for as long as I played (same batting stance, played shortstop a little) I may not have a "personal" experience with him like you, which you didn't really, because he didn't notice you like you said? But I became very attached to him over the years, countless jeter shirts, baseball cards, you name it... I honestly cried his last game in NY, and at the game I went to a few days ago at fenway... I don't think it's right for you to hate on jeter just because he ignored you? His job is to be the short stop of the yankees, not to greet every single person to throw the first pitch over his 20 years of major league baseball.... Dude is a class act, what does me having a personal experience with him have to do with anything? It's the way he conducted himself on and off the field that made me like him so much.

Are you even a yankees fan?

(I'll answer this one, for Nick)

No. Or any other team for that matter.

You're letting baseball cloud the fact that he was a dick to Mr. Lorax here. A douche is a douche is a douche. Canseco was entertaining as hell to watch. Dude was a 40-40 player. But he's still a douche.

Good riddance Jeter.

Typical shitty bandwagon redsox fan attitude.... Oh wait, I was at Jeters second to last game at Fenway the other day and redsox fans were chanting jeter all game, I can understand you hating the yankees, but Jeter? Don;t see how you can hate the guy, he was mine and basically every other kids role model growing up... Basically no rumors or anything through 20 years on the YANKEES...

Wrong side of the continent...

Either way, fuck Jeter.

Fuck him, Justice, and Clemens for that bullshit 2000 alcs. That shell shocked me in my youth. Never forget.

I'll answer this myself thank you Sean. No, I'm not a fan of any sports team, but i was for a long time. So no, I'm not a Yankees fan now. You're so belligerent with your own obsession for worshipping the guy that you mind bogglingly manage to contradict yourself in the same sentence. He obviously didn't have good conduct on the field during that instance because the rest of the team were super nice.

You asking the relevance of yourself not having a personal experience with him, while i was sharing my own is like asking tanner hall if he broke his ankles......... It's a stupid question.
