don't take me for a joke, i'm no comedian. too many mental problems got me snortin' coke and smokin' weed again.

no steamboat is way down the list of best areas in colorado dude it terrian is bland and almost non existant the mountian is one big catwalk. Crested butte, telluride, Aspen, snowmass, Aspen Highlands, keystone, vail, a basin all beat the shit out of steamboat in every aspect from night life to people to terrian to snow. if u think its so great u must not have skied very many places and probly do not ski very well oh yeah and even winterpark and mary jane kill the fuck out of your shitty little pussy mt. dont hate the player hate the game i only speak the truth

co sucks

1) Horrible snowpack

2) dangerous after large storms

3) SHORT SEASON

4) crazy expensive

5) icy icy icy

6) crowded

7) 8-inches = powder day

8) late starts for terrain parks

CO is like VT but larger - they do have good vert, but they get no snow

you are an idiot!!!

october-july isnt a short season

most mountains have a park up in november

i payed $200 for a season pass to vail, keystone, breck, abasin, and beaver creek..thats not expensive

^^really

most of CO was shut down at the end of april due to state/fedral requirements (i.e. animal migration)....a-basin does stay open late

but CO sucks...look at my points,

snowpack? yup, no snowpack

icy -yup all the time

crowded - yup, most skier visits in north america

short season - yup

late starts for parks - yup, when did vail get their open last year?? or the year before?? jan??

i llived out there for 5 seasons, own property in frisco...taught at breck and keystone

moved to Tahoe and you cant even compare the two

Co is like VT only bigger

^why would you own property there if it sucks then? also where do you suggest skiing?

cheap???

vail is what like 80 bucks a day...

yeah passes are cheap...damm jealouse of their pricing system, wish we did that out here, but day tickets, lodging, food everything else is ridiculous

i buy a skithesummit pass every year still, i had abiut 20days in CO last year, even hit silverton after a 30-inch dump (big let down!!...guided tours, told where to ski, limited options)

Best skiing in lower 48

Utah, then Tahoe/Sierra Range

CO is overrated

ok i dont think that 300 inches annually is shitty snowpack it is not icy u must not know what ice is the average skier per acre ratio in aspen snowmass is 2/1 no where in the country can beat that. Its not expensive thats just a sterotype there twice the night life twice the terrian u would know this if you had skied a good colorado ski area. the season is not short colorado has the first mts in the country to open and some of the last to close with the exception of hood and mamoth. and alltough most full parks dont open until early december they are some of the best in the world like breck vail snowmass buttermilk. u dont know a damn thing that u are talking about. colorado beats the fuck out of were ever ur from

let me guess u think that sierra cement is the best powder on earth.

mt. that tower to 12,000- 14,000 feet are far supiorer to any others

ur problem is that frisco is the coldest place in colorado and breck is the flatest ski area in colorado hints the name breckenfield, or breckenfridge

oh and also breck has a lot of wind scowering problems due to its topogrophy and treeline. try visiting some of the better colorado resorts

yeah how do you think its always icy? i remember like 4 days out of about 50 in CO where it was actually icy. and yeah some places are crowded like breck, and copper but i never go there i go to vail, steamboat, a-basin, and other places most of the time and its hardly ever crowded at all. and steaboat is awsome, its probably the coolest ski town in CO that ive been to, and the mountain is sweet if you know where to go.

the only place i really dont like is copper, it is just gay.
