Looking to set up a rail Jam in down town Denver this summer. through talking with venues i realized i need to get an idea of how many people would want to come.... Please let me know if you would like to come or if you have any ideas to make this event as fun as it should be.

That would be so sick I could probibly get 10 kids to come. You should talk to Bob Holme hes the park manager at WP and they set up a photoshoot on the rails in front of the capital so he might have some connections to city officials who could make it happen
Nice thanks for all your responses. I am still working on the venue but have gotten some pretty good companies to back it. I am thinking of scaffolding for the drop in but and still not sure what i am going to use to land. Was thinking some astro turf and maybe some ice from a local rink any ideas?

They have had a sweet one in highlands ranch a few times, so i know its doable. I know for sure that as long as the word got out, you could get at least 50 contestants, not even including spectators. look into getting some kind of event sponsor to pay for shit and then they get advertising out of it. as far as ice shavings, you could ask the pepsi center?

no hockey during july at pepsi center, I'd ask at the ritchey center down at DU, and theres a few icerinks around town. If you want to look for sponsors try go fast, wahoos, tokyo joes. If you want help making this happen, hit me up. The riders showing up is the last of your worries, especially in Denver.
Thanks again for your replies. It seems as though the landing will be ice shavings if the Richie Center cooperates with us and the drop in will be astro turf. Will keep you all posted as progress is made! If you have any ideas let me know i want this event to be a sick as possible!

If i can come up with some money from sponsors the event will be help on thursday July 24 at Lodo Bar and grill. Starting at 4 or 5 and will be open to all ages. damn this is gunna be sick
I know there are heaps of forums on this NS about drop in ramps but felt like i might ask those interest in the event how they would feel about a drop in ramp made out of scaffolding with astro turf and ply wood for the drop in and ice shavings for the landing. I will try to have the drop in be snow but not sure how long that would last if it would be possible even.

You could use that snogel stuff. it wouldnt melt or dry up and you wont hafta worry about snow transportaton

and not trying to sound like a snowboarding supporter but i think it would probly be best if snowboarders were invited also because of how popular it is and that would def. help with more people

So pretty soon i am launching a web site with all the details just waiting to hear back on some final costs. I am looking for another rail anyone be willing to give to the cause? Looking for a s or a c rail maybe even a roller coaster rail. It will be open to all ages and skiers, telemarkers, and snowboarders are all welcome.
