Denver or Boulder

So I'm moving out to Colorado soon from NH...any suggestions on which city to live in? Looking for a place where I can get a 'real' 9-5 job then have easy access to the mountains on the weekend. Any advice?

 
I personally like Denver better. I have spent time in both, and you will probably have a much easier time finding a job there as it is a major city.

 
denver owns boulder. don't live in boulder unless you got like a full ride scholarship to cu or something. if you live in boulder you'll just be driving to denver on the weekends anyway, plus the percentage of fake, stupid people in boulder is like 500 times bigger than denver.

and arvada and lakewood make up most of west denver, so if you get a place there you'll be closest to the mountains.

lakewood is slightly closer, but you're looking at like an hour or so to most mountains.....you can make it to winter park in less than an hour and copper is like hour and a half tops, unless the weather is butt ugly

I general, if the traffic is good. To get to the mountains from Denver

A Basin- about an hour

Keystone- same

Breck- 1 hour 15

Copper/Vail- hour and half

Aspen- 3 to 4 hours

These are if you making good time, and there is no traffic. But usually you can get to a mountain in an hour. I was at DU which is in central Denver, and these were the average times for us.

 
Morrison and Golden are sweet places to live because you are in the city pretty much, but you can get a semi-private place in the woods. But if you are looking to party a lot and not have to drive to downtown...then get a loft by the baseball field. A good friend lives in a sweet ass place downtown that is walking distance to baseball and LoDo. It only adds 15 minutes to the ski drive.

Man if I wanted to ski on a regular basis I'd stay away form both cities. You can get a real 9-5 job in the mountains you just have to be willing to look for it. Also Summit county is becoming moer and more like a city, seems like 'real' jobs are becoming moer common. Also check out grand Junction, not the nite life of Denver but Aspen is 1.5 hrs away and Teluride and GB are just over 2hrs away. And of course there is Powderhorn with its 20 miunet lift ride, but endless powderdays only 30mins away.
