Denver music scene

So I know that Denver has a pretty good music scene but I don't know much about it. Who are your favorite bands, hip hop groups, etc. out of Colorado?A few of my friends moved to Denver to pursue their dreams, Drew and Checkers Barker, have a long family history of playing the drums and they both play in the band Places.

I saw RPM live in Montana last summer. It was pretty sick.
