i realize EVERYONE in CO is thinking the same thing right now, and no one wants to give up their spots, but im driving down this afernoon for a handrail mission...anyone wanna help me out with where to look???
take either the 6th or 8th avenue exit and drive around all the factories down there, i'm sure you'll find something.. or if you go to Emage, theres a nice down rail by the shop thats pretty sick
There is a really mellow down rail at Slavens Elem school, Dartmouth and Clayton. Have to left side urban on. Wouldn't take much work to get it going. I live close by and can get alot of the prep done. Have shovels; will travel. Let me know.
oh and south high school have a down rail with a tiny little dfd kink in the middle. 4bi9 luvs this rail. There's also a sick one by mullen high off of federal.
So what did you find? Snow's melting fast. I've been checking out some Denver area parks to see if they might have something. There is a park called Harvard Gulch between Downing and Broadway on Harvard. It has some funky terrain and some kind of steepish hills. There are a few spots where it looked like you could gap over a creek. I think there is a wood rail bridge over the same creek.
I heard they took the rail filmed for realtime out, could just be a rumor though. I hit it last year and its pretty fun, hopefully you plan on hitting the leftside rail, because the right side down kink to downish rail has some not fun consequences (a tree, big steps, and regular steps down the middle).
You guys are talking about the park that's off of Belleview just before you get to Pirates Cove if you are going South right? Who knows what the weather's going to do next few days.
we ended up doing the south denver high DFD...super mellow, like 25-30 ft, flat is only like a foot, i got some pics and vid on my rooomates computer, will post at some point
