Denied entry to Canada

A person is denied entry to Canada from prior conviction of marijuana conviction. With this criteria for entry, how is Tanner Hall able to ski in Canada?

Canada decriminalized possession of small amounts of certain drugs, either that or the amount of money he could potentially bring into the country.

I thought he was a shareholder of Retallack cat-skiing, not Revelstoke?

Retallack is still in Canada.

I almost feel like sometimes border crossing rules just dont apply to famous people/people who have special concerns.

I have a buddy who has gone through hell and back to cross into America for the last two ski seasons (we are right on the Vermont border so we ski at Jay every weekend) because of a small possession charge in Canada, yet celebrities and musicians who clearly have priors are allowed to cross in and out no problem.

Thats because all it comes down to is money usually. My uncle has the same deal, he just has to pay 700$ to enter the states, of course celebrities n shit can afford that

Its called a P Visa. Special visas for athletes, artists, entertainers etc. There are a few different classes (P1, P2 P3). Normal rules do not apply for these VISA applicants

False, recreational use of cannabis is still very much 100% illegal in Canada.

Decriminalization doesn't mean legalize. It means you don't get a criminal record.

If you're caught with more than 7 grams on you it's still our equivalent of a misdemeanour
