Democratic debate

It's a repeat now, but I watched it at 7. Good debate - I like this format. Bill Richardson did a great job, as did Joe Biden and Obama. Edwards looked too nervous and Hillary was her normal self. Kucinich is still nuts and Gravel makes me laugh.

just saw it on the news. thats cool how they had the videos from youtube. i liked the little snowball that asked them about global warming hahah

all i have heard lately is that Obama is gonna be a great debater and speaker... how was he?

He did well, as usual, great speaking abilities - looked confident, sounded confident, etc. He stalled a bit on answering questions tonight, though.

In regards to being the best and most confident and not looking at my stance on issues, I'd say Hilary. Considering everything, including agreeing with them, I'd say Bill Richardson, with Dodd as a close second.

as i said.. interesting. I really thought it would have been Obama from what I've been hearing.

You think our country would be willing to give enough votes to either a woman or an African American? As in, yes America is kinda pissed at the right-wings, but do you think that the country is ready for them?

I haven't a clue. I hope that neither race nor gender plays a huge part in the next election because our country will be best off if people vote for what they believe in and see IN the candidates, in regards to stances, issues, ideals, and leadership capabilities.

I'm just not familiar enough with public opinion (not just what you see on the news, as many voters aren't politically active) outside of New England to judge , to answer your question.

100% bump to that but i really think that it is going to play a bigger role than it ever should. gahh politics..

oh well i have been traveling A LOT this summer and i really have been amazed how much of our population is just livid with the government right now. i've met a lot of conservs. who are kickin themselves for the last election. I can think of exactly three people i have met in the last year who are still behind the big man right now.

do you have any valid reason for this? or do you just follow the uninformed impression that is very common among ignorant people.

LET ME SAY IT AGAIN................

OBAMA

He is the fucking man.

one thing that bothers me about Edwards is that his healthcare plan mandates everybody to have health insurance. That itself is not a problem, but in the past, whenever I hear the reasoning for the mandate, they compare it to car insurance - 'everybody is required to have car insurance, so why not health insurance?' - they don't realize that people choose to drive, thus taking on the responsibility to pay insurance. People are not given such an option when it comes to being alive and health care costs.

oh blow me bitch, i do what i want. i have a valid reason for it. my family owns a business. i stick up for what is the best for the company, and the country being run by a bunch of fags isnt what is best for it. so sue me. republican fo life nigga!

QUESTION?

Why are you guys not looking to vote for who is going to abolish the patriot act and return the 5th amendment from the grave? That's what i would be looking for if i were an american citz, I want my fucking rights back.

hahaha ok.

I like his politics, I like him as a person, I think he is smart, and I think he could lead the country in the direction he needs to go.

His race plays no role in it. Although it would be fucking awesome to see this country grow the fuck up and have it be acceptable to have a female/minority president. But whatever.

the debate convinced me only that all of the democratic candidates are retarded. gravel is just crazy, kucinich is completely out of touch with reality, clinton and obama are smarmy hypocritical politicians, and biden wants to start another COMPLETELY UNPROVOKED war in the sudan. how did people miss that? the man said he wants US troops on the ground immediately, and clinton all but agreed, saying we need to enforce a no-fly zone and send in NATO (read: us and the brits).

I don't. Just because I watch and appreciate the debates doesn't meant I'll vote for those involved. Right now, I'm enjoying the prospect of checking that box next to Congressman Paul's name.

im still in favor of gravel even though he probably wont make it to the white house hes got his shit together. plus hes gonna legalize the gonj.

though, recently I've been intrigued with Bill Richardson. I don't know much about him but whenever I do hear him speak, I enjoy what I hear.

ïs that supposed to be an insult? we are a socialist country, medicare, social security, the only thing were really missing is healthcare!! and seeing as we are the fucking richest ocuntry in the world, it shouldnt be such a big deal!!

if you vote for obama you are voting for the same shit we have with bush just with not as many dyslexic meltdowns.

socialism makes people dependant on the government. In my opinion i want the government to be as little part of my life as possible. What is the point of me working hard to make money when a large portion of it is going to get taken away to care for someone that doesnt have enough self respect or is too lazy to care for themselves

really? everything shouldn't be about how much money you have for yourself.

somehow I would like to believe that there is more to life than that.

its sad that people aren't willing to give some of their money away to help one another. Other western countries all do it, why do Americans have to be such money hoarders??

yea clearly.

voted for the patriot act

supports israels illegal wars-http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=10181

said he wouldnt take nuking iran off the table

supported the iraq war from the start

doesnt support a free market

wouldnt repeal the income tax

would INCREASE the government

should i go on? for most pepople that would be enough to not vote for someone.
