did you know that at first no one bought a dalorean until the guy who made them, Delorean, go arrested for trafficing cocaine and everyone thought the coke was in the cars, so then they started selling
 
I wanted one so bad when I first turned 16, I was a huge back to the future nerd though. There was one at a dealership in town that I would go and check out all the time. I ended up keeping my jeep cause it got way more chicks, but they are fucking rad cars. Now I have a silver WRX, and I want to get some gull wings and a flux copasitor.
 
if its in decent shape its worth around 30 grand...

extremly sick cars, completely stainless steel body, a guy down the road from me has one thats mint.
 
hell yea, its worth a fair bit. we are keeping it garaged for several more years before we do anything with it though.

the stainless steel is pretty sick, but we never drive it so we cant show it off. insurance companies wont insure it because it costs to so much to repair if it gets fucked, so we dont bother taking it out. back in 97 my dad had to buy a new bumper cuz he dented it. ended up costing 5g's for a fucking bumper.

haha i was actually gunna make a thread about them. THEY R COMING BACK INTO PRODUCTION!!! some guy bought all of the spare parts they have for them, and a bunch of the cars, and is rebuiilding a bunch of them, and selling them for like 52,000 or soemthing. My dad read it in the paper the other day, and he told me bout it. The problem is, the guy who is making them is making thme by hand, and only has enough doors for like 500 cars or sometihng.
 
they sure are coming back to production... i forget if it was 2008 or 2009... they will be 80% orginal parts20% new and cost 52,700 about... i guess a little better engine in it and a few upgrades but basically the same car... its a cool car but the new ones should be improved rather than the same thing
 
I've randomly seen a bunch since I saw the movie. its funny because I thought they were cool but I was never completely obsessed, but I know someone who is obsessed with the movie and seeing one but has never seen one.
 
I got to drive a used one at a toyota dealer in town, the thing is really sluggish, like no power steering. Also cleaning it can be a little challenging with the stainless steal. That along with the doors, if the hydrolic arm holding the lift gate went wonky it's like that bumper mentioned earlier, super expensive, not to mention there was a problem with the doors leaking when it rained.
 
yeah, probably bad for a main daily use, but if you could afford one as a second car to play around with that would be cool.
