Deleting threads policies

i just dont like them. i am not gonna state which thread or whatever or i will get more hate, but there were a lot of threads that seemed legit and they just were deleted. ok, i rethink, its about that 9/11 thread. of course the whole stuff has been talked over and over again, but i for example, am from austria, and i cant really talk to a whole lot of people with knowledge of the information besides the internet and i like to express myself and debate over this whole topic.
i have a few other threads in my mind, but for most of them i have no clue why a deletion would even be considered.

i know, ns doesnt want to get sued or whatever, but this is getting too much. i know i can go wherever i want and stuff, but i love ns and i just want to share my opinion and others to do the same and unless we are not harming any laws, the thread shouldnt be deleted.

so please hate me or ban me, i dont care, but just acting like all this is just cool wont help anyone
 
haha whatever man, it was going sour.

my chocolate thread got deleted too. i was diggin it. got a customer. everyone loves chocolate.

i respect all their decisions. theyre nice people.
 
yeah, it wasnt the nicest place on earth but i dont want all threads deleted that dont end up with everyone sucking each others dicks
 
I saw the 9/11 thread in its early stages and there seemed to be nothing wrong with it. Did it get bad or something?

 
well of course it ended up in a conspiracy-counter conspiracy debate (i am not innocent in this case, lol) but nothing too bad. no hate, pretty decent language and noone disrespected anyone more than in most other threads
 
yea i was pretty mad, when last week on my 1000th post i bumped an old thread from like 2003, so i get home from school and see that some ppl commented on it, i click it and it brings me to the forums page. but w.e i love the mods
 
We have so many dumb threads on here that, even though the rules lay out things you CLEARLY can't do, we also have to use judgment to remove the stuff that's just... crap.
 
probably the fact that it was reminiscing an event that killed almost 3000 innocent Americans, and led to a war about 10,000 miles away. I'm pretty sure that if I was affected by the tradgedy that I would not be happy with someone else saying that it was the fault of another American.
 
well this thing was never disrespectful in regard of victims or whatsoever. but just trying to forget it is not a good way of handling a situation. i am half german/austrian, believe me, i learned a lot in school about previous mistakes and what we have to do now.
this as you are saying is in no way justifying a thread deletion. just because i am not happy with something doesnt mean that i should kill every debate about it (in which i dont have to take part in).
i am austrian, again and i appreciate to hear about this topic in a direct conversation with other people. i know its a tough part of your history but not letting a serious debate (i didnt bring up "dumb" conspiracy theories, just a few selected ones that are easy to look up and evaluate) evolve.
just my two cents. please bring the hate, you know i have to be a nazi
 
I dont see what was dissrespectfull or bad, I think its just such a soft issue in the hearts of americans that any rebutle is taken with huge offence. its not like we were insulting the victims of the events or the american public, we were creating a debate which does have its place since there are some inconsistancies. if we always ignore issues or questions we are never going to further our knowledge. I agree there is always a point where it can go too far but this point was not reached, there were no serious insults so why take a healthy debate down.
 
No 9/11 thread on ANY forum is ever "healthy debate". It always becomes some conspiracy theory "George Bush planned it" garbage vs "Kill DEM TERRORISTS!!!" argument with people calling each other dumb. Literally the only way the thread could get worse is by calling other people f**s or ni***rs. Most of NS won't see this cause it is a highly liberal group that are all Zetigeist "genius's"......
