Deleting iPhone texts permanently?

Ok so this may be a dumb question but I need to delete a large amount of texts from a single conversation on my iPhone. It's the conversation with my ex who I have like 150,000 texts from and its taking up a lot of space. If I just click "Edit" and then "Delete" it doesn't get rid of it permanently. It will be impossible for me to go into the conversation and delete each text individually so what can I do? And I even click delete all within the conversation and it just comes back....

cant you just swipe left or right on the conversation in your inbox and delete the whole thing?

I do this and yes the conversation disappears, but once I turn my phone off and on its back...

I even go within the conversation, click "more" on a message, click "delete conversation" and it disappears, but once I restart my phone it just reappears.

Why don't you just try factory resetting your phone? As long as everything is backed up on your computer, you can get all your music, apps, etc. back. I'd imagine that's the next step after turning it off and then turning it on and seeing if the problem persists.

then dont restart your phone.......

just let the phone process whats happening and dont turn it off for a while (since youre deleting a lot of files it sometimes needs time. its happened to my iphone too but on a smaller scale)

If you have a macbook too then you probably have to delete from within there as well, or else it'll just sync back up.

The rule of texting is don't say something you wouldn't say in real life, if your still worried about someone looking at it put a password on your phone.

Ok let me walk you through this

>Drive to Apple headquarters

>Kill security

>Break into super secret underground servers

>A new challenger appears

>Steve Jobs???

>Kill Steve Jobs

>Rip apart serves with your bloody hands

There's only one problem with that plan... Everything is in the cloud, good luck finding it
