i lost all my gopro footage from the summer on my mac, how do i recover it for free?? Thanks

Do you stillll have your GoPro? If you didnt delete it then that would work. Look in trash bin or deleted.

Unless it's backed up somewhere....you can't. But first check your trash can.

You can. Get the Program Recuva and scan you're computer. Works everytime but make sure to enable deep scan

you can recover everything (although i am not sure about the "free" part) as long as nothing else was saved on the harddrive spots where the older stuff was.

deleting, even emptying the trash bin is more like ripping the table of contents out of a book than it is destroying the pages of content.

in the mean time while you figure something out, try not to save anything. it could over write the deleted files

You can try "Kernel for Macintosh" which can recover corrupted or deleted data from mac partitions easily.
