Delete the Search Bar

Something honestly needs to be done about the search bar. Everytime I log on I keep thinking that I've signed into a ski site for retarded people...which is also half true. But honestly, we aren't that stupid, im tired of looking at that crappy unaesthetically pleasing feature which should literally be about HALF as big as it is now. Please.
 
Why would we get rid of it? I agree that some people don't even use it, but many do. Even if your not gunna post in the old thread, you can still use the search bar to just find maybe a thread with a link to somehting. It deffinitly nessacary, and I like the size of it.
 
I guess what I'm really trying to say is that since people are so aware of the search bar they feel like they have to let other people know that there is a search bar. In some cases I can understand it (like that youtube clip of the kid on the rollercoaster box where he totally dies) but in most cases it's kinda stupid.
 
I dont think the searchbar should be deleted its helpful for threads pics and vids if you actualy use it. I mentioned it in another thread but it would be good if when you go to create a thread you type in your title click ok and it searches it in forums and then if you found what you were going to ask you could click cancel title or if no matching searches come up you could click no matches and then the text box for you to make the thread would come up. So like the Create thread title is a search bar in a way. Dont know if that made any sense
 
i think it needs to be bigger. and maybe surrounded in blinking red lights with arrows pointing at it. maybe it needs its own site.
 
I agree...honestly though, we need to keep bumping this thread until something gets done!
 
i dunno ive always loved the search bar, very convieniet peioce of equipment.

ive never really looked at the search bar as a tool to make sure your not about to post somehting thats been posted before, thats a little rediculous...theres like over a million replies or close to in all the forum seciton.

ive looked at it as a tool to help me find somehting when im looking for it, or wanting a fast way to get to something.

all these tools complaining about how a thread has been made need to get warnings.

I see where you are coming from about the reposts, but the search bar does more than most people realize. It gets used, just the other day somebody found one of my old threads and used it. If you get rid of it, you render so much information useless.
 
you wouldnt need the searchbar if u spent every waking second on ns while clicking refresh every five or so seconds and reding each new post that comes up
 
Delete posts that have "use the searchbar" in them...I use the searchbar sometimes and it's handy.
 
hhaaha whatever the huge search bar is a joke calm the fuck down man. i cant believe such a small thing can raise such a stink
