DELETE SHITTY VIDEOS

I am going to suggest that every video receiving a cumulative rating of six or less by ten or more people should be deleted permanently from the website. I'm not the greatest skier, so I don't post shitty vids of mine. If I'm going to post something, I 'll make sure that is at least halfway decent.

Recently, I saw a video where the skier FAKED his bails. I can't stand stuff like that, and no one else should either.

Perhaps my system is not totally on targer, but if anyone has any ideas, just post.

this whole site isnt about whose better and all that shit, we are just having fun. no matter the abilty, you are one of those kids who would chirp and be lame. go home, and if your home, go choke on a bottle cap. this sport is ours to share.
 
I never said watching videos was about "whose better and all that shit". I simply don't like watching shit videos.

Furthermore, your comment about constructive criticism is a COMPLETE joke. Do you why constructive criticism is constructive? Because one is meant to build from it, not be denigrated. I have rarely seen it used on this website, but rather, the following comments are more common (by the way, your comments also fall into the following group:
 
there still is some. just cause some videos arnt "over 6" dosent mean that they sould be gone. not everyone is hardcore, and as much as you would like to see every video being amazing, thats just not how it works.Its ones opinion of whats good or not.

if you post a video and ask for some advice, you will get it. with the exception on one or two comments maybe.
 
I cannot contest your last point about exactly where the line should be drawn between bad and good. All I can say is some of these videos simply should not be posted. I'm not against all of us (who are here because we like skiing) trying to get better. Obviously, we are all at different levels.

However, the other night I saw a video where this one skier and his snowboard friend videotaped themselves doing fake bails, FAKE, I repeat, in his backyard.

You cannot tell me that that type of stuff should be posted.
 
if your sandy vagina can only bear to watch really good skiing, I suggest you purchase one of the fine videos produced by professional companies. this is an open site for skiers of all levels of skill and involvement in the sport. its an inclusive community for all members, not just for your own entertainment. sure stupid stuff will get posted but if its gonna ruin your day that much to see it then just stay out of the videos section or wait until others have rated it so that you dont (god forbid) have to watch someone who isnt pro.

I was lame for like a week.

People should be able to post stuff to get advice or see what people think.
 
If you really don't want to see the alleged "bad" videos, just don't watch the ones with ratings under 6. It's not that hard, and there's also a "description" telling you something about it. If you're not interested, nobody's making you watch it, so don't whine about it.
 
There is a happy medium actually. SASfilms.com used to divide the video section into Pro and Amatuer sections, and then another normal sections I think.

Hardcore skiers post vids in the pro and am sections, and then the rest post their vids in the normal section.

That way kids like the one complaining here don't have to go through shit videos if he doesn't want to, and that leaves the people who are actually going to provide constructive criticism to scroll through the non-Pro/Am sections. And angry fellows like the thread starter can watch the better videos in the Pro sections instead.

Just a thought.
