Delbrooke rail

i jsut watched the 2nd realtime teaser (witch almost gave me a sizure) and at 18 seconds i noticed an urban 270 onto the long strait rail at delbrooke and it reminded me that i wanted to do some urban this summer.

so dose anybody want to session it with me? we can get snow from outside the skating rink at lonsdale rec center

we really need a pickup truck for that. i dont have one, a couple friends do, i might be able to get them out here but would need to let them know when etc.

we also need a drop in ramp. it wouldn't cost a lot to make one if no one has one. just leave it at someones house and have it available to anyone who wants it.

if we do it at night we need lights. so it should probably be a day thing cuz lights are harder to come buy unless you can have cars there.

anyways i am stoke to go slide so i will help out with any of those things.

we have drop in, i mean i think will still do, its at my friends house i hope so were good there, but does lons have snow again? cause i thought that they took the ice out in the summer?

yea i went to make sure they have snow at londs but they make it into a roller rink in the summer so where else could we find snow or use to slide?

i have a drop in box. it just needs screws... to assemble, but seriously it is a drop in bopx. i used it in the winter and took it a part.

ice sports has snow. i see it all the time. its on seymour parkways and berkley. NS winter club usually does as well. cant garuntee that one but last year they did. regardless snow is accessible.

SO

what railS are you guys wanting to hit? we aren't just ugnna do this once i hope. thats why there is an S.

who has a camera? if any of you have been reading some of the shit thats been said as of late its that we need to film. so lets find a camera too.

so now for the hard part. when?

i have a camera too but its kinda old and i dont have the right cord to upload shit onto the comp. so i'll find a cord and then we can use it too

i also spotted 2 good rails at capilano elemetry which is sorta near grouse (one flat down and one down rail)

waaiiit a sec, yea i got the name of the school wrong but capilano dose have the really good flatish down

im talking about canyon hights at the top of highlands

oh ya dose anybodies camera use Hi8 tapes? cuase mine dose but i cant fine the right cord and i dont think they sell firewire to usb adapters

the windsor rail is really high. you dont even need a drop in ramp for it, but if you put one on top of the stairs it would be really good with no issue for speed.

saturday works for me.

If you guys need a dropin ramp, you can borrow mine. Its in Vancouver...if someone has a truck you are more than welcome to it

I'm down for that but I need to know FOR SURE if we're doing this Saturday, because I'd need to find someone to cover for my work. If not, or if I can't, then I'd gladly come another time.

Saturday night would be sick.. but lights are kind of a hassle eh...

Of course I'm only saying this because of the relation between work and how badly I want to come.

everyone post what the best time on saturday would be for you (if you have work and whatnot)

for me id say like 2 cuase then i can sleep till 1 but im flexible cause im a slacker and dont have a job

well we could do it at night if anybody has a generator cuase i can get like 4 lights or we could use car lights

i can go anytime.

do we have a ramp and truck for sure?

you have to cut 2 or 3 chains to get to it with a truck. if not we have to wheelbarrow.

it would proabbly be easier to do during the day just cuz we dont need a generator.

yea, not sure if cutting chains would be the best idea so i guess its wheel barrow and jeffy said we could use his ramp if we need one

i wouldn't be too worried about cutting these chains. its kinda the back entrance and doesn't see to many people. if someone has lock cutters they should bring them.

i dont want to be the one who shits on ideas, but i kinda think we should do a smaller rail first. maybe one of the ones in lynn valley. or the one at ridgeview. i am so pumped to do urban but we should start off small to get a feel for it, even delbrook would be better. the windsor rail is tall. its got a 5 foot drop off the end of it. its a bit flatter so it is a bigger ollie on. i did this rail in the winter and it was harder than i thought. if you still want to go there then sweet. i will too. i am not one to back down from something. just want you guys to konw.

i miight be able to get one of those big like car batteries that has plugs in the side for lights if we are going to do a night rail but if thats to much hassle we can just postpone it to a day where everybody can come

haha those vids are gonna scare ppl outta doing urban lol all the falls looked so painful

so whats happining with this guys? need some input

Pete there is the other windsor rail too eh.

It really low, wooden stairs and grass on one side...you come at it slightly on angle, but its really low about 25 feet long, and you can get head lights on it easily plus drop snow right at the rail.

We are doing a rail.

Lets try and do it in the evening? say start around 5 or 6 and go till 9 or 10? depending on light?

Zav truck? trailer? maybe ramp?

Jeffy could we borrow your ramp?

fuck lights, to much hassle.

who else is in?

any more suggestions on rails?

i will go look at the other windsor rail in 10 minutes and get back to you guys on that one. i will do any rail.

Hey pete, ya if you wanna borrow my ramp thats all good. Just let me know if you guys want it. Its in West Van at my parents house. I'll let them know some ski boys will be coming by,a nd then ill give you directions

i have a pretty killer scaffolding drop in ramp in you guys decide to hit rails in south vancouver. its nice cause its huge and can get mad speed but sets up and tears down real easy. you need a truck to move it though since the stage platforms are 10 feet long though
