DELAMINATION

if i wanted to ski on delaminated skis for 4-5 sessions what would be the best way to hold them up for a while

u culd tear the whole bottom layer off and ski on them, it might not be the best feeling in the world, but it will get the job done

First thing is to attempt to rivet the top sheet back on to the ski, with a little bit of expoy inbetween the topsheet and the core, put in a few rivets spaced around the area that is peeling.

Then proceed with duct tape.

i dont know about pink, but i had some black ducktape that held my invaders together last year

ok send them back first and see if they replace them befor you try to alter them with glue and clamps and stuff, because then they would say you altered them, and messed with them, and then you sure arnt getting them replaced.

my guess is your riding fujatives...because my tails let go completely, and i thought they were garbage. but someone ^ joked about ripping the bottoms off, and thats what i did...

i cut the base out of the tails where it had already delamed, and a little into where the ski was still together. then i cut the edges back to the same spot. i filed the sharp edge, and melted ptex to blend the base into the now exposed top sheet. shit, most of the ptex cracked and fell out but i rode them at northstar for a week straight, and there still good.

as far as under the boot, i did the same thing, cut the edge out and ptex'ed it real good. this worked on my fujis, but i dont know what your riding. and if anyone tries this make sure your skis are dry or youll lock in moisture and make the problem worse.
