Ok some snowboarder and some other kid in my school say im a poser cuz i ride thalls and have nice gear which i know i have and i bought most of it except the skis and bindings and boots which were a combo of xmass and birthday gifts from this and last year. I know to an extent i am a poser but its not like i go into parks and just sit there with all this sick gear and talk to people. I try shit and im always trying to get better but it pisses me off when people say im a poser because i have baggy siver pants or cuz i have a red helmet and figments or cuz i ride thalls and can only 360 and 270 on and off rails. So what would u call a poser, a person like me or someone who doesnt try things at all.
 
a poser is a person with the nicest outfit an skis that suck ass. they don't try anything and they talk shit about other people who suck aswell
 
thats not poser. thats jealosy. a poser is someone who talks constantly about all the things they can or want to do, yet when it comes time to throw down, it never happens. try to talk the talk without bein able to walk the walk
 
My friends call me a poser because I have oakley goggles..whatever :q

In my eyes: A poser is a person who just sit in the park, dont hit anything or try anything and talk shit about people who arent that good. People can wear and ski whatever they want as long as they are tryin out stuff and dont talk shit about other people..ski and have fun!

ive got good gear but im not a poser. i think people think just because you arent as good as them that you are a poser, but i go out there and try my ass off every day. i think as long as you dont put on an act and just go have fun, you arent a poser. if you buy nice shit to make your self look like a pro, then your pretty much a poser unless you have the skills to back it up.

there was a kid like that at camp he siad he was sick b4 we went out skiing and he couldnt eeven slide the box and he bought all new shit but the kid wasnt that good and he talked shit
 
yes, people may call you a poser cause they are jelause(or how u spell it). Like my friend said I was such a poser because i had baggy cloaths and matching pants and jacket...Now he have bought matching pants and jacket in the same colors
 
seriously i didnt think anyone could be mean or douchebaggiest enough to actually call someone a poser. the kids who are calling you poser or watever deserve no love. just show them up with steeeze

seriously a poser doesn't necessarily have to have all the best gear and what not. it's more about the attitude. simply a person who acts like somebody they're not. hence the phrase "pose".
 
Nah, you don't sound like a poser. You just have had the opportunity to get nice gear, which anyone should take advantage of if offered. Posers are just trying to be something they aren't. You are a skier skiing, so you aren't a poser.
 
fuck those kids man, if what you say is true, that you try hard and keep on goin farter as far as your level goes, and that mostly you love skiing, then your no poser

Just raggin on ya a lil but a poser in my book is... what has been said, a person that'll talk your ear off then skip out on any and all features, they usually have the best gear or match real well... some people have the best gear just because they are privileged and want the best, thats ok... and if you are worried about being a poser, then you might, so don't worry so much
 
yea and he skis naked. obviously there is more to his set up than skis and boots. try not to be so dumb anymore.

If he calls you a poser and you aren't a poser, then its time to grow into the name you've been given. Thats all there is to it.

lets look at this ski setup = these days probably 800-a grand, my outfit cost probably 400, small price when compared to my sticks... but your right I'll try not to be dumb anymore
 
yea the jealousy thing is in there when people call you that without any info (aka just by what clothes you have). but people who said dudes who just sit around in sick shit without using it, that falls into the definition i think. but if you suck and have sick gear i dont think your a poser, you just suck, at least your trying.
 
so what if you have the best gear, that don't meen shit. as long as you try to improve and do shit in the park, evan if you fall your not a poser. and if anyone sould call you a poser, just bet him that you'll do a rail or 360 or somthing bigger and try it, if you succed you get the cash, if you fail you still get respect
 
if you are being serious, fuck you. there is no set point where u stop being a poser, and most people arent even starting out as posers. the poser is that one kid who gets twins and rides around the mountain with his posse all day, and goes into park when noone is there, and throws straight airs to try to save his self esteem.
 
someone who has nice clothes n sucks is just rich. someone who doesn't talk shit to people n sucks is just a bad skier. someone who talks big but can't back it up is a poser
 
being a poser can be either just doing it because its the cool thing to do, or claiming tricks and never doing them. Also claiming your own tricks is bad...but not exactly under poser. Watch the poser mobile commerical.
