how do i set it so that windows media player opens up when a .wmv file is going to be played? because right now realplayer opens and says it cant play the file. i have firefox, do i set it in firefox?

If I understand what you are saying, then on a pc do the following steps:
1) Open windows explorer
2) Select tools > folder options...
3) Select file types tab
4) Scroll until you find .wav and then click the change... button
5) Find the program you want to use and select it.
6) Select OK
