DEER HUNTING

I just got back from hunting. I spent 11 hours in a stand and didn't see a thing.

But on sunday I got a big doe. But my friend got a 8 pointer with a 14 inch spread. I am so fucking tired.

I wanted to go skiing onsunday before the snow melted but I had alreay made plans and everhting. I didn't know My resort would be makeing snow. This early.

you don't walk around when you hunt? when i dear hunt we stop for like an hour and then move to a different spot

rifle. my god it was gun opener this weekend.

I use a 243 winchester. It drops them dead.

i got 2 doe in NY, with a shotty too hotty, and PA opens like Saturday. There are more people in the wods hunting wiht guns in Pa alone on the opening day then there are people in the US army.

hunting is fun and im all for it as long as your eating what u kill. i hate these pochers that kill the deer then just cut off and take the head. Rifle is the only way to go i meen i understand the bow might take more skill and u have to get closer and all but i prefer to not have the animal suffer and just take one shot and drop them instanly.

everyone in wisconsin is obsessed with deer hunting people kept asking me if i was going, it was crazy, they even have a special section in the weather about deer outlook.

i havent gone out on a hunt in years. The forest where we hunt is fucking nuts...i guarantee there is nothing wilder than northern ontario bush.

I hate it when people take a bad shot.

I mean if you hit a doe in the kill zone your gonna kill it. But if you take a half assed shot and wound it you just made an animal suffer and you have to find it.

With bucks you shoot it and they will run for a bit even if it was clean. 2 or 3 shots will drop it.

I have droped every deer I have shot with one shot. I don't eat it though.

I give it to a shelter or a needy kids foundation.

so pretty much one of my life goals is to go hunting one day. i really would love it.

and next halloween i'm dressing up as a hunter.

Just bring lots of jerky and energy drinks like jolt (because they have twistlble cap) and think before you shoot and wait for the buck. if he doesn't come along take the doe(but take a big one)

man thats sick..

i deer hunt..i saw a 6 pointer this year in a stand but it was to far away..and i have my crossbow..

what do you have?

My bow drops an animal just as fast as my .243, and it makes a bigger hole. Just because a bow has less power doesn't mean it can't kill as efficiently. For example, I shot two antelope with my bow last year, both under 20 yards, and neither of them lived for more than 5 seconds after being shot. A bad shot is a bad shot no matter what you make it with, there's just some bowhunters out there that don't know their limits, and there are plenty of rifle hunters that wound animals as well.

I went hunting last Thanksgiving on a friends 11,000 acre ranch. We got about 50 quail and my friend got a pretty sizeable 8 point buck. We must have seen 60 or 70 deer in two days before we decided which one to shoot.

There is no situation where you should ever even consider shooting a bow at 60 yards. They are a close-range weapon, and should be used accordingly. The last time I shout a deer at 20 yards with my rifle it ran further than either of those antelope, and I hit all of them in the heart. I was just trying to point out that if used properly, a bow and a rifle will kill in about the same time.

why? then when you get to your next spot you ahve to wait a half hour for everything to die down.

apparently im on the PETA mailing list, i got abunch of these stickers that say Cow's Are Cool.com there cool i guess, cuz cows are cool, but i still eat them!

Here is the one that I shot this year followed by last years. Both are from around Manhattan MT. This years was a 5x6 with a 22" spread and last years was a 4x4 with a 21" spread. Shot last years with a .270 and this years with a .30-06

Those are some huge deer!^^ I do my deer hunting by Roundup, although I may try around Bozeman next year, considering that it is way more convenient.

Yeah I don't know how good the public land is in the Gallitan Valley. I do my hunting on a private ranch that is actually a freaking game preserve. I work there during the summer for a really wealthy man from CA and there are only 5 people allowed to hunt for bucks on the place so I am one lucky guy.

My gym teachers friends is old school. He just runs after them until the deer are out of breath. he taps them on the head and they collapse. Its pretty creul, but it makes me think of robin hood mixed with a hint of indian.

Id love to go hunting, bow or gun hunting. But you gotta drink the blood of the first deer you kill. the deer hunter says so.

fuck you pussy

letting too many deer occupy an area is more cruel then hunting, ever see starving deer? ever see them starve so much they start comming into town, ever see one try to fight a 92 acclaim? not very often thanks to hunting.

I bet if you saw how they killed the cow you've been eating, you'd figure out that hunting was pretty humane in comparison. That, and you're making a rash generalization that all hunters are rednecks, which really isn't true at all. Me, for example. I hunt, but I drive a subaru, listen to metal, and I'm a democrat. I'm pretty sure that doesn't make me a redneck in any way, so your stereotype is wrong in this case.
