Deep powder tree skiing. Do you like?

I love to ski da powderrrr. I am really going to make more effort to get out and ski more pow this winter. It's just too damn awesome.
 
Carry a little more speed, sounds counter intuitive, but will give u more energy out of ur skis (making them easier to turn) and will help increase ur float making ur skis less catchy and way more manuverable. Personal tips that I use, spot a turn or two ahead and I sing to myself to try to get into a good rythm
 
Oh and ian, thanks for the stoke. I will be dreaming of my only trip to PC christmas 03 - new years day 04. Soooooooo sick, soooooooooooo much snow.

fuck living on the ice coast. my powder days consist of 2 inches of powder, on top of an inch of wet sticky man made, ontop of 3 ft of ice. fuck
 
Dude I totally feel you. I saw a commercial on TV and they were like, "Do you like action and hot girls??" I began to answer the nice question, but before I could even finish my sentence they interrupted me and said, "Well you would love the new movie Charlie's Angels now available on DVD and Blue Ray!" I was furious with these fuckers! Using the pretense of asking a simple question they slamming some ad in my face! I threw my TV out the window immediately. That'll teach them to be such bastards.
 
That was a paid advertisement, your comment only strengthens his argument. I'm not complaining about the thread or video or anything, just your efforts to "in your face him"
 
watched this the other day and it got me SO STOKED for more deep days at the canyons this year! as always your shit is so on point man!
 
the thing about the east coast is we get some powder occasionally, as any true east coaster can attest, but the only place you'll find powder within an hour after the lifts open is in the trees. so yes, i love pow+trees. its my element. there is nothing like the deep quiet of the woods as you float silent through the trees.
 
also... don't want to steal your thunder but thought i would add some more classic utah tree powpow!!

thanks man, LOVE the ep's soo much!! I know it as King Kong, but yes that is her, early season so it was real flat landing but still fun nonetheless!
 
Ya I've never managed to go off of it because it's so flat. I wouldn't say I've ever hit something that big elsewhere but I'm working up to it. If you see a dude with the same pair of EPs (I have dukes) It could be me! Throw a snowball at the back of my head or something.
 
Shut the fuck up. This is a great example of skiing pow in the trees. Don't show me your shitty footage of some fool.
 
You must be fucking kidding me? Did you watch both vids.
Ill admit the first one is a great pow skiing vid, but its so flat it wouldn't matter if he was skiing through active volcanos avoiding bursts of lava and man eating tigers.
Also, watch the second one. He's not pro, he doesn't have a pro set up, but he is skiing steep powder, in the trees, and is sending it fucking huge into treed landings.
 
powder skiing is better than sex ....
i'd rather be skiing waist deep powder every day than having sex every day ....
