Dedicated Urban Skis

I was wondering if I should buy some cheap twin tips for urban skiing. I plan on buying the 2014 line chronic and 2014 armada Norwalk, but I felt like shouldn't use the chronics for urban because they are known for chipping and I plan on using them on a lot of urban rails. I live in pullman, Washington, believe it or not one of the best places for urban in the west (lots of big rails, big hills, about 3 feet of pow by Christmas). So what do you guys think? Buy some cheap twin tips or risk the integrity of my chronics?

I use an old pair of 171 Salomon threats. They are stiff as fuck and pretty short but they still work.

The least amount of money you can spend the better. Breaking skis is the last thing I want to worry about when I am landing on cement trying not to break my body.

i use the oldest pair of skis i have laying around pretty much

i got the 08/09 a bang with a tyrolia peak 12 binding on it from the same year.

i recommend spending about 100 bucks on an already mounted pair of beater skis for urban. using new stuff on concrete isn't recommended

I also use old skis. My old afterbangs work great because I don't give a single shit about them

Just use an older pair of skis that are trashed. My urban skis are retired halos that saw 2 full seasons of use. They have no edge underfoot on either ski, and the bases look like someone took a cheese grater to them but they are perfect for urban cause no fucks are given.

find a pair of used afterbangs for urban.

the chronics aren't really known for chipping since last year with the addition of the capwall construction
