Decriminalization of marijuana in Breckenridge

no chemical test to measure amount of intoxication. Everyone always overlooks this, to me supporting current DUI laws using BAC and legalization at the same time is hypocritical. I say we drop all this shit about substance use, let people ingest whatever the fuck they want, and then when they commit crimes charge them for whatever wrong they've done. Theft, assault, vehicular manslaughter are already illegal. There's no need to charge people for future crimes, this isn't minority report.

^fair point, i meant to add with a few exceptions (one being short term memory loss hahaha). but don't you think that with heavy doses of pot you'd have similar control over yourself to when you only have a small amount, making a intoxication level test pointless? because i've never heard of anyone getting so high that they can't put one foot in front of the other as is the case with alcohol

I understand what decriminalization is. I was just saying even in Amsterdam, where weed is sold from commercial locations, smoking in public is still a punishable offense. As long as you don't act a fool you won't get in trouble but if someone is blazing up in a parking lot while cussing and screaming then what should happen? We should just let people smoke wherever they want and act as they would like? Trust me I would love weed to be legalized but I think people need to respect public areas and that some people may not want to deal with such a situation. Now whether they should have been given a ticket is questionable, I just think people should be respectful enough to smoke weed in a decent manor or in private areas. People would be annoyed even if it had been some guy sippin on a bottle of Jack slurring his speech as he yelled across the parking lot.

I still love that its legal as fuck for me to smoke wherever I want...
Blown ACL = Medicinal marijuana card = WIN.

Only problem I have with it being decriminalized near me, is I will be broke as fuck and me trying to lose weight will go out the window. I have a big enough appetite sober, but when I smoke... fuck, it isn't good. Last time I really smoked heavily I ended up eating 30 bucks worth of food from Dennys. Damn side effects.

I'm pretty sure Lewis Carrol used acid, and more than likely weed, possibly shrooms. but i think his point was that drug users have created many great things, ie. music,art,books...

and drugs/weed aren't always the worst thing.

Well acid wasn't synthesized until 1938 so that's ruled out and I'm positive he was not under the influence of drugs. He wrote the story for a little girl.

Wasn't LSD developed as an anti-migraine drug and it works, but they just didn't see the psychedelic side effects until after testing it?

hmmmmm I've been duped. after wikipediang, and yahoo answer searching, it seems you are very correct.

but my statement about musicians, and other artists using drugs has given us some awesome things.

i just read that some sort of wheat contained mold, which contained part of lsd or something, but as a math scholar, carroll/no one really knew it was in there. and he had migranes too, and someone said he "tripped" or saw shit cause of the super bad headaches, and may have helped write his book.

Moldy unprocessed (read gross) bread gets Ergot which is a main portion of LSD (YAY to House for teaching me this). But I am pretty sure it was originally created as a treatment to migraine headaches.

The idea of Carroll being on LSD when he wrote the book, from what I understand, is a myth. You can see how the myth would get started though.

At the time that Carroll wrote Alice opium was a massive part of the world of literature. Keats is a prime example of that. Although Carroll might not have been so overwhelming into opium, it can be argued that he still drew inspiration from it.
