Wow, he absolutely stomped that 7, damn, I bet hes really wishing he would have just done a safety air on that QP. That hurt to watch. I cannot believe he walked away from that. If he was wearing hip pads it would have probably done alot of good for him right there. I cant believe that shit
his board started to wobble cause of teh speed as he went up the transition....... no matter what he tried he was s.o.l. I was in disbelief he walked away
This is just unfuckingbelievable. He took that huge bail about like 50 feet in the air to solid ground and is able to walk after that shit. Man Jake is so solid, he has an unbreakable body! It's crazy. I'm happy he had luck in his badluck.
that must have hurt sooooooo fucking bad. think about it. essentially, its equivelent to a skier boosting 30 feet out of the pipe and landing completely flat in the middle of the flatbottom. complete death
i noticed that some of the guys seemed to have some sort of spine protectors (like things i've seen on moto types). i wonder if he was wearing somthing like that?
also, on some other ESPN sports news program they were going over the crash and one of the anchor guys said that after he crashed he asked his buddy "do i have another ride? (no) did i do the 7? (yes, you landed it) what did i do on the quarter (nothing dude)" it was funny to hear the anchor run through it. i love how the x-games/ESPN just lives for this type of moment.
when i watched that the first time it looked like he dropped in slow motion then the cam moved down and you see how hoge the pipe is and he's actually just really fucking high up. and he didnt really "walk" away from that he was definatly in pain and needed help moving
