You've all heard my stories of how I've been a huge fuck up in college. But since I was a sophomore in high school I wanted to be a Marine. I'm thinking that maybe I need some discipline and maybe the Marines are actually the right choice for me. Its such a hard decision though. My parents don't want me doing it, but I don't know, it seems right in a way. I want to do something with my life I can remember and be proud of, not just be able to tell my kids about how I sat behind a desk for 40 years of my life and how I hate my job. I don't know waht I should do
 
not to be an ass, but i don't think that being a marine would be something to be super proud of. I mean, i support those who decide to be in the armed forces and all that, but i think it would be way cooler to stay in college, work hard, and become succesful in life so you can do all sorts of things like go on sick ski trips till your 80, travel the world, and just make sure your kids have an awesome life. I don't really think you could do that sort of stuff as a marine and theres good chance you would have to risk your life as a marine which i'm not sure if you are willing to do or not.

do it man! Joining the Corps has always been my dream but I can't get my US citizenship so it didn't work out. Onew of my best buddies is going back to Iraq for a 2nd tour in a few weeks...
 
i can understand why you want to do that. I've been contemplating that decision for a while. I really don't know. Its a very honourable job and fuck what anyone on this site thinks your doing great work.

YEAH DUDETHAT WOULD BE AWESOME you should do it, as long as you stick with the marines, I have a friend that wasa a marine scout sniper over in afganistan. he's nutty
