Decisions --> All Mountain Twin

Right NS, I'm 5'6" ~160lbs, advanced skier. Looking for an mid-fat all mountain twin (between 90-100) to take to the Alps this season, probably 50% POW (snow dependent), 50% On piste (Park (mainly jumps)/Groomers/jibbing whatever else).

Having read around both here and elsewhere I was sure I was going to get this years 169 Kung Fujas with Schizo's which would fit the bill perfectly, especially with the ability to move the mounting point.

Was ideally looking for something relatively soft (currently ride PE's - which I'm not enjoying (too stiff for my liking)) and so would the Kung Fujas be soft enough (as I have read) that they are butter-able (I know the rocker will help). I have hand flexed them (the 179's) and they felt softer than the PE but still fairly stiff so I want to confirm this with those that have ridden them.

Now the question is are these perfect for what I am looking for or would something else work better. I have looked at the ON3P Jeromino's however that would mean buying in the USA and shipping here (UK) which would up the price. Also I would still want to mount with Schizo's to improve the all mountainousness of the ski and so would this work.

Suggestions welcome although I think I am fairly set on getting the Kung Fujas (I can get shop discount on them + Schizo's so that knocks the price down ~15%) just want to be sure of my decision before I buy as it is unlikely I'll be able to test them on snow before I buy them, which won't be until the end of the year/January next year just before I go (when I have most money).

The two skis you mentioned were going to be the two skis I recommended. Go with the Kung Fujas, it sounds like it'll be easier for you to get, and the Schizo system will make them even more versatile. That being said, I'll be enjoying my Jeronimos this season :) Either one would be a great ski for you, but I'd say go for the Kung Fujas.

kung fujas sound good. i havent ridden the rockered version, but i have ridden last years. they are a good do all ski, they were a little small for super deep, and you def have to work them a bit more to stay up, but the rocker should significantly improve this characteristic. they should def be good, especially if you like a softer ski. they are stiffer underfoot, but buttery as hell in the tips.

i say take a look at some line blends... super sick all around ski, very versatile too. and if you are in the uk, you shouldn't have much problems finding a pair.

Get the fujas. K2 makes great skis and it seems like the perfect one for you. 95mm waist is great on pow and groomers and also great for the park. I had the 07 fujatives which are a lot different i think, but I loved them. If you aren't worried about price then check out the volkl bridges.

prophet 100 if your not gonna be riding to much park otherwise id get the ON3P's or line blends

Thanks for the help guys +k. Will be getting the Kung Fujas, can get a pretty good deal (haven't seen a better one in the UK) from Freeze Pro Shop --> £299 ski only + 15% off because my Uni Ski Club is sponsored by them. Will get them pre-drilled for the Schizo's too --> the pre-drilled mount should allow me to get to true centre (or close enough)?

Will also get the Schizo's but should I go with the Griffon or the Jester? Ideally would like them to last a couple of years and they probably won't get more than a couple of weeks on them a year. Weight wise for me the Griffon is fine and I don't normally ride above a DIN of 10 so would it be best to go for them or spend the extra money (Jester's around 50% more).

Doubt I'll use them here in the UK unless the snow is really good, will keep my PE's as my dry slope/UK ski. So the Griffons would no doubt hold up fine and save me some cash as well which is never a bad thing.

Just bought the 169 Kung Fujas with Griffon Schizo, stoked. Can't wait to get them and ski on them, should be here the end of the week although I can't ski them until next year :(
