so i went around today looking for helmets and ive pretty much decided on the RED trace helmet. Every shop i went to either only had mediums or had medium and xl. I tried on the medium without a beanie on and it fit perfect...like a helmet should fit on a head. The problem is that i wear beanies under helmets so i don't know whether i shoud go with the large or would it be a good idea to take out the little pads inside the helmet? Right now im leaning towards going for a large, but since i had no way to try it on, im a bit stuck... any help would be nice.
 
^haha i have REI dividend thing like 60 bucks so im prolly just gonna buy online off their site...thanks though.

but the question is whether i should use the medium which fits my normal head without a beanie or a large for wearing a beanie underneath
 
What happens if you buy the large and then ski on a hot day? You'll have to wear the beanie to keep your helmet from kicking your ass, and you'll be quite warm as well.
 
im gonna agree dont wear the beanie, find a helmet that you think will keep you warm and alive. if you wear a beanie and it throws off the fitting the helmet, it becomes virtually useless.
 
thiers no point in wearing a helmet with a beanie, it creates space in between you and the pad which can work against you. Ask any person that works or knows about helmets.
 
AND i wear my goggles underneath all the time because i cant stand the tightness of having it around the helmet
