There isn't much I can write about this cover except that it was a very difficult issue to put together. I wanted to share it on Newschoolers as this is where I got my start as a journalist. One way or another, this cover is just as much yours as it is ours. I encourage you all to pick up a copy and read Matt Hansen's 18 page feature on the unfortunate death trend in skiing.

I actually just read this today it's really sad to think about how as skiing becomes more progressed the rate of death will increase to.

anytime you push an extreme sport to its limits, it will bite back from time to time. these legends died doing what they loved doing. I hope that if i cant make it to an age where i die in my sleep before i start shitting my pants, i hope i die doing something i love. mad respect for all those who take this sport to its limits
